Evan I have known Anderson Kennel's ever sense he was in cloth diaper's. They don't come any better than him. I was hunting some with his dad when I was 16. Now if anyone is stupid it might be me. I put up what I think is a pedigree on Hook but I flipped the sides because the way I read it the mom was on top. So the pedigree I posted may be completely wrong. But if it is correct as far as the dogs in his pedigree here is a little info.

Logan's Wild Clover goes back to Finley River Chief 4 times. Once in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generation. Kansas Dancer goes back to Finley River Chief a few times. Once in the 4th and then in the 5th and 7th.

A person could spend a lot of time on this pedigree trying to break it down as to what he goes back too, time I don't have right now to put a lot of effort into it.. For sure by the looks of the dog he is marked by the Clover dogs.

Even though he has a good pedigree and has a lot of nice hounds in him he doesn't look like a Finley River hound is known to look. Even though he has quite a bit of Finley River in him I would think 40 times would be close to the amount of times he goes back to Chief. I'm not betting anything on this because I am doing it in my head on a hard to read pedigree but I would bet he would be closer to Chief 40 times then 70 times. I am going to put a picture on here of the Hook dog and a Heavy Finley River Bred hound and Finley River Chief. By looking at the pictures to ME it is easy to see which one was marked more by Finley River Chief. Peace.

All i was saying if a man was looking for a Finley River stud Roger has Finley River,you don't have to go back to the 6 or 7 gen for it to show up.
SO TAKE AND PUT JOKER OR BUDDY'S ( YOUR CHOICE )6 GEN PAPERS BESIDE HOOK'S 6 GEN PAPERS AND SIMPLY DO THE MATH COUNT 1 BY 1 EVERY TIME YOU SEE FINLEY RIVER UNTIL YOU COUNT ALL 126 DOGS........AND THEN DO THE MATH??????

ok. Maybe i did put my foot in my mouth. I know what history nutt is saying on looks. You may be closer on the 40 than i was i didnt draw it out either but there is a lot of f r behind the lone pine dogs.

I still dont agree with what you said last. I have a 12 year old male dog that is 8 generations John Wade's comanche breeding he goes to finley river chief 87 times i have drawn it out. you lay his 4 generation out and you see johnsons danny boy , johnsons babe , comanche jr. spring creek radar, buffalo river thunder , table rock mundo jr. and a lot more dogs no one has ever heard about but the finley river is packed in from all sides. and old sunny boy is in there a whole lot more.
