BINGO

Showed Bingo last weekend at Marshall. Didn't win, but he looked good! Especially since I have never worked him before on the bench. Treed a bunch of coon Friday night pleasure hunting at Sedalia. Bingo got off by himself on the last drop. Won me a nice friendly wager. LOL...... Steak lunch Saturday afternoon. Thanks to my good buddy, Shawn!..........

I have a female coming out of Ranger and Hey Jude. Shes 10 months old I believe. Hasn't had but a couple nights in the wood. STORM

Picking up 'Storm" tomorrow! Can't wait to get her in the woods. I'll give her a night or 2 to get used to the place and to me. She will be in the woods this weekend. The wheels are turning as far as the future with her and potential crosses. LOL..... I tend to get that way when I get a young gyp. Bingo, Astro? Who knows, she needs to make a dog and will have every opportunity. Also, she will be bred to the Festus dog.

PISTOL ANNIE

I picked up the Ranger X Hey Jude female, Wednesday! She is an extremely nice looking female. Big and houndy! Lighter colored with lots of ticking and a couple big black spots. Great big jug head on her! For a year old female, she's about 55-60 lbs. Bigger than my Bingo dog! lol........I was told her name was Storm, and Jake called her River. She doesn't answer to either, so we are going to call her...... "Harper's Mad Dog Pistol Annie". I will get pictures up soon and will be keeping updates on her progress as I begin to hunt her. Thanks to Jake Whitaker for helping to make this possible. I believe the young male dog, Gravedigger, will make you a very nice hound! >>>>Jim Harper

Thanks for the heads up. I changed that on the previous post. I talked to Brian, and he got ole Ranger bought! Nice to have him back in that part of the country. I am sure many will utilize him as a stud dog. Did a hang up with the Pistol Annie female ( ranger x Jude), she treed her butt off! Looking forward to taking her to the timber. She will be a nice tree dog for sure. And LOUD!! Her and Bingo will be a team for a lil while, when shes ready out to single out, I may send her to Shawns? Paul mentioned coming for a hunt soon, maybe he will get to see her go. As I mentioned before, she will be the first cross I make on Bingo, but I am already convinced that crossing her to Astro would be a good cross as well. Thanks for your time, comments and advice. Been in Columbia all week with grandmother. Haven't had Annie in the woods yet, but will hunting all weekend. Trap is set, may get a coon to show her tomorrow. I have done a drag and she showed me a little something. LOL......Also, have a breeding planned with a different female that should really be nice. PISTOL ANNIE

I took Annie ( RangerxHey Jude ) out last night for the first time. Turned her in with a nice reliable 7 year old Walker gyp my buddy owns. The walker got ahead of her, crossed the river and kept running a track. Annie split this side of the river, but left the tree before we got in. Treed hard for 2-3 minutes, but when she saw out lights, she came to us. We looked around, but didn't know what tree she was on. Put her on lead, walked down to the river and cut her. Across the river she went, started tracking, took it 100 yards or so and they crossed back over. The walker gyp hit the tree and before she could settle in, Annie was blowing the top out! Coon seen. BTW...she did not come off the tree to greet us this time. Locked in and let em rip. Nice, LOUD, chop mouth tree dog. Not bad for her first night in the woods! She is going to be alot of fun!

Thanks for the comments! Taking Annie again tonight. Been hunting Bingo through the week, as I was planning on going to Cole Camp. However, wife had some things happening this weekend. I am very pleased with what I saw in Annie. I hope the future is bright as Bingo was a "natural" starter as well. With Bingo and Annie both, I never showed either a caged coon, or any other type of training. Just a ride to the woods. Of course, I tweaked things here and there for Bingo, but he has the brains that he just took to anything I taught him. Had an awesome time! Me, my boy and my good friend. Couldn't ask for better company! Saw lots of nice dogs, and even got to enjoy a short rain storm. ....Haven't had that recently here. lol........
I have decided that there will be a breeding taking place in the near future here at the farm. I will post more when the deed is done. Not sure of the females heat cycle, but the pups should be naturals, as both Bingo and the female have proven to be. Also, Bingo will be getting hunted hard in the hunts soon. He is super nice ( IMO ), and hopefully will prove to be a reproducer for me. All of the pups will be placed, NOT SOLD, and will be given every opportunity to make COONDOGS. I feel he needs to prove something to me in the breeding pen, prior to selling pups out of him to the public. Again, JMO. Can't wait for the leaves to fall off, and really show what the Bingo dog is about. Happy hunting to all! >>>Jim Harper

Bingo x Sammy

I am super excited about making a couple of crosses on Bingo. Got a few people that are going to hunt these pups for me. Interested in seeing what he is about. One of the females I was going to sell, but deal fell through. She has proven herself in the breeding pen, and I know what to expect from her side of things. Hoping to get somewhat of an idea on Bingos abilities in the pen through that litter. She should come in anytime. The 2nd female, Im not sure of, but will keep a close eye on until she is ready.

BINGO PUPS

This cross finally happened, lol. Pups are 4 weeks old, looking good. 2 females, 2 males. Don't know what we will keep or sale at this time. Im extremely excited to see what Bingo adds to this mix, as Sammy has had a litter, and they have shown ability and also, common traits. This is the first litter off of my Bingo dog.
