Chris,I am we'll aware of what coon population is like in (Todd's area)but I also know in this area depend on guide it will take more than oneor two coon to win a cast.i hunted and guided the young guns hunt when it was here in tn.I also know that you don't need to have a hunt in this area during kill season would not want people driving hours to hunt and somebody already sneaking in and killin coon the night before.And I think that is a problem in a lot of areas.

Chris,I also know that in a lot of those states that you mentioned there are people that guide that shouldn't be able to.It piss me off to drive three or four hours and guide says don't know why we haven't treed anything we killed 10 out of here this week.that what I was meaning by my first post ,make sure guides have coon.

Hey Shawn,im with ya on the good hunting.. There is some good hunting in the south.Maybe the assoc will consider some of these nice places.
Ive got to go north and see a different type land and hunting and terrain
,and i love hunting up there,but i will sure say ive also been fortunate to have got to hunt TN,Al,GA,VA,SC,NC,LA,KY,,got in the coon in all them states.
Heck im just like everybody else,I cant help but wonder what this assoc can accomplish for the BnT and the men / women that hunt em.
Im gonna pay my membership up and offer to give these guys a hand .
Ive hunted up north and enjoy it everytime i go up.
It is just different territory,i think us ole boys down south can show yall some good hunting and some oak woods ,beaver ponds and creeks and hollows
,that yall would enjoy hunting.

I figure it will cost me 10 DOLLARS and a helping hand to see what this assoc. can accomplish.I will take them odds, The real people im taking a gamble on ,is the men in the breed.Im betting on the bnt hunters. Im betting yall get behind this and pay your membership and support this.If yall dont ,I aint lost nothing.If you do all we can do is good.Dang neer a win win situation.I will take em odds for sure.

I ALSO THINK IT WILL WORK IF THE MEMBERS ALL HAVE A SAY,OR A VOTE.

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT let Bryon guide your cast!!!!!!!!!! He has coon but it will kill you getting to them. The last drop we made when they treed we had 3 helo's cable us down to the dogs and harness them so we could lift em back off the top of that mountian. He hunts a mountian that the official name of it is Little Everest.

B ryon I am well aware of some problems with coon and we will do our best to acomidate all concerns but dont think we will fix what some people do with shooting out coons and then guiding same spots we can only ask and hope that the guids do the correct thing. and please dont think i am not concerned with it cause I am and you make very valid points and with your help we will be able to keep things going in the correct direction.

I sent my membership from Flordia today. I am in this to try and help the breed I love and enjoy hunting. I think if the members become a working team we can make this a big deal. If only two r 3 of us work at it we will never go anywhere. We need to support all the events that we possibly can no matter if we draw a good guide or not. I have coons on my farm in the SC state hunt 625 was scored on Friday night and the guy had 700 but made a bad call but on Saturday night they only scored 200. I am this to say not every night is a good night on any guides hunting grounds. I try to protect my coons I feed them year round don't pleasure hunt my farm much at all except for pups and young dogs just so when I guide we tree coons. I am here for the long haul with this and I am willing to support this group aswell as the ABTA.
Chris if you need anything give me a call I enjoyed talking with you yesterday and look forward to helping any way I can.

I already have a bench donated and I am looking for other show related items to be that will be given away...I will have a King and Queen of show Windbreaker style jackets and the Bench will go to the overall winner.....

We have had a decent turnout for the show in the past but really want to make this a great show one that not just B&T people want to come to but all breeds....
