My pup treed her first squirrel yesterday evening on her own, she will be 6 months old June 15th, hope she starts tree inch a little harder but I know she will with more age and time in the woods ! Just thought I'd share this as I'm proud of her !

Showed her a caged coon, she went nuts over it, put her up turned the coon loose, put her out, she trailed it up and treed on him , had to pick her up and put her up as she got pretty hot quick in this weather, not bad foe a 6 month old :-)

I like theses Mullins so much that I think I get another one this next year, maybe a male this time to keep my own stock of them, that way I can keep what I think Jody has accomplished after all these years, just a thought right now !

Posted by skeeterhawk7 on 08-08-2013 02:45 AM:

Me and my buddy booked a male from Jody for January or February, that we are partner up on, he's gonna hunt this one as I have a female from him already that I'll be hunting, possibly one day we will breed them as the male will be out of a different cross than my female .

Let my pup out of her pen yesterday afternoon late while I was picking okra, wasn't long and I heard her treeing pretty hard, went over to see what she had and there was a big fox squirrel up a few feet taunting her, went over to my truck and got my 22 and shot it out for her, she made me proud :-)

This is what my papers has to say about the Old Tyme Mullins Feist Registry , for a litter to be registers both Sire and Dam must be registered in either MFR/OTMFR or MSR/OTMSR in order for the litter to be registerd, the litter can be no less than 25% Old Tyme Mullins for registry, if I find anything else I will post for U !

oldman

Also the dog permentally registerd will have the letter OF at the end of the pedigree names along with dog so you know where the dog came from as a breeder of kennel name ! Hope I got that right :-) oh yeah got to have 3 clear pictures, each side and a front view to send in or no regestry with them !

Pup

I hope she makes a nice one for you Allen. You going to let Honey train her to be a Cooner to or you just going to hunt her during the day? I am think about finding one to do some day time hunting with. Maybe the oldest boy will go with me

Yes Buddy I'm planning on hunting her at night with old Honey to, this pup is also coon crazy, showers her a caged one when she was 4 months old, this line of Feist, Jody Mullins also coon hunts them at night .

Posted by Michael Opphile on 09-15-2013 05:10 PM:

Good deal

If I get one that is what I was going to do with mine train them to hunt both at night and during the day

The weather is cooling off some finally here in Arkansas and finally got a little rain so this pup is gonna get to be introduced to the timber within the next two weeks, she trees squirrels all the time in my yard and I have shot a few out for her, really like her so now it's time to wear out some boots in the woods with her :-)
