I'm really looking forward to this hunt. It's been a great annual event for the last few years. I sure hope all you Bluetick folks that can make it will come.

On Saturday we put 7 cast in the woods and 7 dogs qualified. We thank everyone who turned out for the RQE. Many indicated they will return for the hunt this weekend. Even if you cannot hunt that night or show that day please make plans to come on down and spend the day with us. Bring as many of your dogs with you as possible. There is plenty of room for you and your Blue dogs-give everyone a chance to check them out. The club is preparing some great food and you can eat inside or out. The weather prediction is also good. Thanks for reading and hope to see you on Saturday.
Weather forecast is great for Saturday. Look forward to seeing many of you there. I have talked with several Bluetick people who are planning on attending. We are asking everyone to bring their dogs even those who do not plan to hunt or show. We want to get a group shot again this year. This time I will get copies made and mail them out to every one who wants one-so please make plans to join us if possible. I have BBCHA membership cards and would consider it an honor to sign you up for this year. Thanks for reading and hope to see you in Roberta on Saturday!

A BIG BLUETICK thank you to every one who made it out for the hunt on Saturday. I took pictures of all the winners as well as the crowd. I took them to be developed on Sunday-gonna fire them off in the mail to BBCHA just as soon as I get my hands on them along with the form and the money for the hunt and memberships. So good to see all of you and to get to hunt in cast that are not just filled with Brand X. I do think every cast came back with plus points. Blue dogs swept the UKC divisions-Clyde Murphy's Whip won 1st pl. reg., I Love Lucy won Nt Ch and Dale Parker and Rodney Holland's Gr Nt Ch Gr Ch Uchtman's Organ Grinder won Grand Night Champion. I will post more results later-we were trying to get home ahead of sunrise on Sunday morning. Thanks again to all of you and the outstanding job this club did.
Group shot on March 15, 2014. We try to get one of these every year. Great bunch of folks attend this event and support it, especially the club members. Thank you again.
King Of Hunt at this years event is Gr Nt Ch Gr Ch Uchtman's Organ Grinder owned by Dale Parker and Rodney Holland. Handled by Chris Keesee and pictured with his wife Brittany. The members of our club and I appreciate the support shown at our events by this group-now and in the past. Congratulations and continued good luck!
King Of Show and 1st place reg. Brummy's Blue Iron Whip, Clyde Murphy and handled in the show by Kris Callahan. Very pleased to win in the show and in the hunt. Our numbers were up in both events this year, a trend we hope continues. The Club House is only exceeded by the meals that are prepared for us. We are lucky to have all this, as well as our officers and their families who make it all possible!
The Queen of Show this year is Nt Ch Gr Ch Mill Creek Blue Bess owned by Tim Meigs and shown by Michael Overton. She was also a participant in the hunt. His wife handled a winner on the bench last year at our event. Michael says that she is a much better handler on the bench than he is.
This sign was posted on the Highway along with three more to lead our Bluetick Brothers to the Flint River Coonhunters Clubhouse for our Old Fashioned Bluetick Get Together. We put these out every year for this event. So very nice to pull into a hunt and see Blueticks tide out every where-no sunglasses needed for "Tri-colored Glare" at this hunt!
Old Fashioned Bluetick Get Together
The 5th Annual Old Fashioned Bluetick Get Together will be held March 21st, 2015 at Roberta, Ga. by BBCHA and the Flint River Coonhunters Association. Consider this as your invitation to come out and join us. Trying to get the word out earlier this year because we want the crowd to continue to grow. More information to follow as we get closer to the date. If you have questions call me at 478 361 7703. Thanks and hope to see you there.
Hearing from quite a few of you who are planning on joining us at this annual event. As has been stated before, we want Bluetick people there. What transpires at our Get Togethers is far more valuable than a trophy. The hand shakes, smiles and Bear hugs alone are worth the trip. This is a deliberate attempt to recapture the way it used to be for some of us, show the younger crowd what it can be like and create memories right now. Any time you can draw the past, the present and the future into one conversation about an event the potential for success is all but guaranteed. Looking forward to seeing many of you there.

The Roberta Club put 4 cast of Reg. and 1 cast of Nt Chs in the woods at a regular UKC event last night. Before the draw out we told them we would be holding an RQE on the 14th of March and this Bluetick hunt on the 21st. Our club has the guides ready to put you in the woods-hope you will join us. Just as much planing has gone into the meals we are going to eat at these two events. Last night we had a spaghetti dinner that was fantastic-( I have to eat my cooking at home) this was so much better. The Club has also purchased some covers that will be in place prior to our events. Let us know how you like them. Any questions- give me a call 478-361-7703.
sure sounds fun and I know one day I will get to attend one of these but timing is off this year with the new shop thing going on hope all enjoys!!!
