Mike, I'm not positive, but I dont think Spike is dead. Scott Phillips bred his Hooker female to him twice last year. I have a female out of the first cross they made. All of those pups were getting it done early on. I like what I have out of Spike.

i had a litter of 6 pups out of spike born in october. this was the 2nd cross.
spike is still alive and in michigan. i think he just turned 13.

how has he reproduced?

Spike is about as 50/50 as you can get in northern blood crossed with southern blood....and a whole lot of mixture on each side.

Just wondered if he reproduced well on many different lines?

Spike produced alot of nice hounds,got a female myself.ive seen and heard of alot of nice hounds out of litters out of spike.

Sorry Coty just seen this,I don't think you'll be disappointed,there was 1 cull in spike and Maxs litter and non pushed hard young,they just turned 3 and several will show up in hunts this summer,they seemed to start super easy young and took off real good around 2,all of em have real big mouths!

What grand nite males are out there outa Spike? Ntch males?
