-- Timer on tree points (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928301136)
If it takes anyones dog almost 5 minutes to cover a dog on a tree and still be awarded full tree points to me is absolutely crazy. Dogs like this dont belong in the hunts in my opinion. Countdown tree rule is the best rule in any kc if you ask me

My opinion is count down tree points cause dogs to be bred to tree quick, no checking for accuraticy, leading to slick treeing.

21% are against this and that's prolly about how many breed association members voted.

If it takes my dog 4:59 to cover your dogs coon he dont need 75 he needs 6. That is setting #6 on my tri-tronics. He better be deep and lonely with his own. The count down gives credit where credit is due. Nothing worse than getting beat by a quarter by a me to'er who decides to cover in 4 minutes.

Deep and lonely!!!!!!!
I love it. Needs to be in all the kcs. I personally hate a dog to mill for 4mins and 57 sec and win the cast. Then the handler walk around the club talking bout how is hound put it on everything in the woods when all he did was me to and handler played the rules and backed into a cast win. But to each his own.
I have
Hunted and spectated in both kc's. I haven't seen many slick trees scored slick.
