Those are some of the biggest beaver I have ever seen, had no idea they got that big or heavy. They don't in VA or atleast I have never seen or heard of one. Looks like most game you way is bigger.

I had a old guy tell me once that beaver tail was good to eat, crack the shell off it and it was a slab of meat? Just curious if he was on the straight up or not.

I knew an old trapper that told me beaver was like eating roast beef. I asked him about the tail and he said he threw that part away. He liked rattlesake the best.

A FRIEND CAUGHT A BEAVER AND COOKED IT,I TRYED IT,IT WAS OK FOR AWHILE AND THE LONGER I CHEWED IT THE TUFFER IT GOT I FINALLY SPIT IT OUT,IF IT HADN'T BEEN SO TOUGH IT WOULD BEEN OK.
