-- What's your favorite Shotgun ? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928300790)

Here's a rare one:

My son was willed this gun by his great grandpa. It's a 32 gauge Iver Johnson, and came with a box of 32 gauge (paper) shells. I have been in a ton of gun shops and still to this day I have never seen another 32 gauge Iver Johnson.

Personally, I don't think that any brand or model does or will ever compete with an 870 Wingmaster. The reason you can find them everywhere is because they don't ever crap out. I have an 870 Express 20 gauge my grandpa bought me when I was little that still works like a champ, I bought an 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge when I was in high school that still works like a champ, and I recently purchased an 1187 that I haven't even begun to tinker with yet, but if it is made by Remington, I know what to expect.

I have to agree with most of you, the 870 Wingmasters are awesome guns.

But for my Favorite Shotgun, I'm torn between two... One is a Winchester 101 and the other is a Benelli Super Black Eagle.. Both of them cost way to friggin much, but man, they sure are sweet shooters.

x2 on benelli i dont have a SBE but i have and shot lots of guns and i like my m90 the best i wont shot 3 1/2

Like I mentioned, they are probably overpriced, but I've owned lots of guns and Benelli's are in a class by themselves imo...

I do also love the old workhorse guns like Brownings, Winchesters and the Rems that have been mentioned.

Remington 870

I guided waterfowl hunts 60-90 days a year for 10 years and pleasure hunted for 30 years with one. Besides the hundreds of geese and ducks I killed with it I shot on a trap team, killed about 40 deer plus lots of pheasant, grouse, woodcock, rabbits, etc. Besides when I shot competitively I hardly ever clean it. It has never failed me, not once.
