Thanks for the information on Tex and his ancestors.The rumor mill has it that he is and will be a dominant reproducer from what is on the ground so far. Congrats! Will you be offering fronzen semen on him? It appears that you guys are stacking your kennel fairly heavy with Cain offspring. I noticed that the girl female is out of Cain too.Is there semen available on Cain and if so where can it be purchased?Would it be logical to assume that Tex crossed on proper Cain females should produce power house pups?I also noticed that Rachel was bred to an ancestor of our world champion BuckII. What did you feel BuckII could add to the bloodlines? Also, will you be breeding Cain females to Jetson? Thanks for the help

Thanks for all the comments on Tex. Mutts1 if you want to give me a call I would gladly talk dogs with you. We are mostly trying to breed for dogs that can win at a national level and if we see a sire that is throwing pups with these traits than we try them. You mentioned Jetson and Cane. Both are dead but both sired pups that could and did compete at a National level.
Kenneth has three studs at this time that I think are an asset to the breed. Splitter, Stud and Tex. I think each one brings something different and the plan is to try and make the best crosses on them and others to produce pups that are better than we have now. Thanks again. Steven

very fast, very good locate, stay put, built right-athletic, dark colored, independent, liked some junk when he was young. I hunted with Drum many times, good balanced hound. Darrel was too honest and never promoted him.

I'm glad you took the time to start you a new user name to stir the pot. Instead of Knott2 you should have used knownuts.

For your info I've been hunting Buck II dogs for 12 years and Cane dogs 8 years. I've never stopped hunting them. Also, last time I checked I'm still hunting First Class dogs, you might want to do research before stirring the pot. As for the disease, also untrue. I said while I owed him that he had a phibropapiloma(spelling) which is a wart not a disease. Doc Vinson was the man I told because he wanted to breed a bitch. He is the man that was saying it was a disease while I owned him and after we sold him to Dean Miller. Not me, I knew better. The worst thing I ever said about Cane was that most of his pups are too independent for me. Which I will still say that most direct pups of Cane are more independent than I like.

For your info Mutts1 knows more about Tex than most. If he needs to know more Steven has invited him to call. If you look both of our phone was numbers are in the ad.

You done the right thing by quitting. But, if you ever decide to start back bring your best and turn loose with one of these First Class bred hounds.

Wow! How in the world did I get brought into this? I asked some very basic questions while doing research. Knott2, leave me out of your quest for vindication. I believe in settling matters face to face whenever possible. Just for the record, I started hunting Black dogs thirty three years ago with a dog out of Majors Bandit. Mean as heck,junky but treed a ton of coons.Then I hunted a dog out of Big Wheel. Then I went to walkers. I did hunt some of Gilliams stuff out of Alabama, then went back to walkers.Since then, I have hunted only walkers.I have had young dogs in the pup standings and have hunted at the national level for years. I plan on being at the UKC finals and the PKC finals again this year. How about you? While you are there, come up,introduce yourself and we can discuss things like gentlemen.Please stop with the pm's as I will not answer them.Also, most computers have a spell check and they sell dictionaries.
