Had to make some hard choices on what to breed Magic to started out with wormys crook dog really like hime then looked at Mathew Atkins Leroy dog and decided to go with Leroy seem s like it will be a better fitt to cross a pup back to Barney in the future dont get me wrong I like crook and I am hunting a pup off him and I like her. Leroy just seem to be the better match for Magic. she has come in and will be bred shortly.

Wormy Dixie is starting to turn the corner nicely. was not going to go last night but decided to take dixie out she worked a track had some trouble geting treed went down and helped her a little and she picked a tree sounded good she was 1 tree off but that is ok she has started to peace it together.

Barney is a very independent hound I hunt him mainly by himself he will hunt with other dogs but will do his own thing very consistent at treeing coons runs no junk, deer shunks, he has treed possom from time to time very few he did bay a wild hog in northern va but other than that good coon dog. should be night champion soon end of summer if I get to the hunts and things go my way, at that time I will be wanting to start breeding him to some good females so if you have an interest in him give me a call my number is at the bottom I will come to you or you come to me this hound can tree coons in all parts of the country he has been to ill, treed coons sc. treed coons nc. tred coons. va treed coons swamps, mountains flat land he can do it any place and he travels very good can travel 16 hrs and then get there cut him loose and he will go tree a coon. very well balanced hound 85 pounds, fast little tight on track ball locate chop ball on tree very loud I have had him 7 tenths and further and could hear him with no problem and you can hear him over most hounds in a hunt.

Glad to see you're keeping Barney tuned up. I'm looking forward to seeing him in action when you come up with Magic. I really like the way she operated in the woods when you were up here before. Hopefully, we will be seeing you soon. Ole Leroy is lonely.

Thanks about magic Barney been hunting with a pup he has been doing a good job never hunted him with pups but seems to be handling it real nice he is a very paitent hound and I think he enjoys havein the pup out there with him. I am keeping an eye on magic dont think it will be long.

It doesn't look like the heat slowed Magic down too much. Especially, since you've been neglecting the old girl & not taking her hunting. Haha! I like the way she pays no attention to that pup bumping into her & just does her thing.
BTW...How's your health insurance? I think I need to see a chiropractor after viewing that video.

well you are close but that is Barney lol that was his first time with a pup he just did his thing and payed no attntion to red, took magic the night before and she made nice work of five trees with coons went last night with barney and red and they split about 150 yrds b arney had 1 and red had 1 red was in the swamp and barney was up on the hill across a tabaco field in a small block of woods red is doing a great job just 5 1/2 month old little loose on track but I think he will tighten up as he gets older has an awsome locate still hasnt figured out his tree bark yet but that will come with time thanks for the good words and I will not be neglecting magic anymore i want her in shape when we get her bred to leroy.

Oops...I guess if I had listened to you calling Barney by name I'd know better. When I watch those videos, I tune out everything but the dog treeing. They do sound similar though. Barney would probably take it as a compliment to be called Magic. Haha
