The liberals on here are very quick to defend the constitutin when someone suggests denying their freedom of speech, That seems very hipocritical to me when the administration they support seems constantly ready to ignore the constitution to achieve their agenda. The second ammendment will stand in the end, but the time wasted in its defense could be better spent fighting to save our economy and putting america back to work.

So you assume the guy is lib because he posted something about rance's onesided view of speech. Was he right or wrong,can anyone following ukc code of conduct post on this site? The OP of the thread saying that an AR15 was not used in the Newtown shootings posted a video that is over 5 weeks old and has been corrected MANY MANY times.
If you want to make the argument that there should be no more restrictions placed on AR15s or other guns that fall into the category of "assault weapon" then go ahead and make that argument, but don't simultaneously deny what those guns have been used for. Cause denying what has been done with those guns makes it look like you actually know that THAT PARTICULAR GUN is the problem. If that gun isn't the problem then you got nothing to hide.

I see it as poetic justice that our resident Liberals find themselves in the position of haveing to find a way to defend their party in an effort to limit a freedom that at long last directly effects them as hunters and sportsmen.

John, here is the problem with defending your constitutional rights with a gun. YOU WILL END UP DEAD OR IN JAIL. The way to protect your constitutional rights is through free speech, free press, and being safe from unwarranted searches and seizures. You can't protect your 2nd amendment rights without all of your other rights. Well, you can, but you will end up dead or in jail.
I know few here were supportive of the Occupy movement, but at the core of that movement were a lot of people fighting for constitutional rights. The right to assemble, speech, petition of the govt for redress of grievances, etc... A lot of you laughed it off, but when folks need to organize to defend 2nd amendment rights, to be successful they will need to be able to communicate privately, have access to media, and speak freely. Because our govt has become so intrusive in our lives know that your movements WILL BE PRE-INFILTRATED. Our movement was and all others are. Right when you are ready to step up and start this revolution that your buddy Ted is talking about you will find out that the feds know everything that you are up to.
All of our rights have to be fought for together.

All the energy and effort spent defending our costitutional rights from those on the left that seem intent on social engineering our society unto the global america they invision would be much better spent solving the economic problems that we will eventually have to face. The left has very sucessfully villanised capitalism, and with the help of a sympethic press will spend the next 4 years dismantling as much of the founders plan as possible.

I dont, The 1st is already lost to the liberal agenda, so the natural progression would be to move on to the 2nd,which is now under attack and they are working pretty sucssefully on the 3rd. as well.

or take the example of one of leaders hillary clinton in her testimony the other day and forget getting to the truth of things, and just say what does it matter what happened and what the truth is, what matters is what we do from here.

Though you just gave good advice you are still way off base. In order to keep our constitution in check we need to vote in the correct people that dont want to take over your lives. This is the area you liberals FAIL FAIL FAIL and you cannot understand that you are the problem. We had these problems with Clinton and we have much more serious problems with Nobama.

Though we had contraversy with Mitt and his stance with gun control we stood a much better chance of not having to defend our constitition. Mcain was little chance of having to worry.
