Any luck at the Bear Creek?

Posted by tom edwards on 03-17-2013 09:55 PM:

Ryan

Nope quss you should hunt a dog atleast once in two months before you go to a hunt. Come close twice but no cigar, quess I'll have to shoot the bitch.Spent more on entry fees than she's worth but at least she got to gohunting three times. That 18 inches of snow shut me down ,besides pkc is not my bag. RED polston was down ,got to talk to him for awhile .Don't know if he did ny good. You do any good at the state ? TOM

Posted by RYAN WHITEAKER on 03-17-2013 10:37 PM:

Well just like the cubs Tommy there's always next year, ive had the same luck down there before. The state hunt isn't for a couple weeks but I'm not sure if I'm gonna make that. Well get that little dog ready and ill see you at English days.

We already have the room and are ready to go. Pretty sure these two will be in alot better shape, BOATER has to go on a diet. I bet he wieghs 90 pounds right now . Just ordered me a new 900 Ranger so the dogs are going to get a work out. The 800 wouldn't keep up so we needed something a little faster ,I think the nine will work. LOL This coon hunting is getting a little expencesive 15000 dollar Ranger , 700 dollar garmin ,400 dollar light , and a 200 dollar dog . Just not all that cheap ,but still alot of fun . You take care and we will see you at E Days TOM

Yeb Dave

I can still tree Dolly ahead of Two. Annie and Dolly would have been fun o hunt together , but honestly Annie is alot more acurate than Dolly. They were and are both above average dogs. They both have done what I ask of them. Wish I had a vedio of Annie you would not believe how much they sound alike. ANNIE trees abit harder than OLD DOLLY. TOM

Tom, you can buy a very good Flip camcorder that will take the video, plug into a USB port on your computer, automatically download your video to a file on your computer or even upload the video to YouTube so everyone on-line can see and hear your dog for $150. That is alot cheaper than a $15,000 4 wheeler. Heck, even Goforth can post videos of his dogs, surely anyone else can. LOL

Tom, I found that video where we were hunting Dolly, Ginger, and the daughter of Ginger that made a Night Champion. It shows Dolly holding 2 seperate split trees with the meat. I will post it later as I get time, folks need to hear and see Dolly at her best. I never had any problems with Dolly missing trees.

BOATER'S PUPS

I am getting good reports on his oh so young pups . There is two in Ia. they say we should come hunt with ,They say when they tree you can't here the old dogs. I know these two I have have a very loud horn .OLD BOATER has put the mouth on both his litters. if this snow would just go away and it would dry up a little I sure would like to get mine out and going .TOM

BOATER

finally got to go hunting last night, didn't get to hunt very long but long enough to tree one. The boy needs to go on a crash diet, didn't realize he was that heavy. He was out of gas on the first tree but he was probably there for at least 45 minutes . Him and I are going to try to get in shape this summer. TOM
