different nights call for different dogs, one dog cant do it all.we would like that, but,so often it is not the case.

I hunt the same dogs all the time with pretty good luck but not close to perfect

The dog im hunting now is about as close to perfect as you can get. For competition hunting she could open on a track a little quicker and open a little more often. When you turn her loose there is no nonsense what so ever. Doesnt mater if it is with 10 other dogs or by herself. doesnt matter what the weather is also.

my idea of the perfect hound is the one that does everything it can, to do what you want it to. aint nothin perfect but if it is your best friend it dont matter. tree some coon bad nights and good nights are what happens, but the bond between the dog and owner is what matters the most to me... Ive met alot of hunters that would cry if there dog died because they just lost 2 or 3 grand my dog dont even have a set of papers but id cry like a baby if she died and she knows it and she trys hard for me every time i let her out the box and has shown me more than a good number of these high dollar dogs with a great set of papers.

45lb built huge mouth will hunt any way you want wheather be road hunting or casting. when casting it i want it to go as far as it has to to get treed and it better be sitting under a coon. i dont want it to be mean but if something starts it he better finish it. a classy tree dog up on the wood every breath tree dog. with a head full of sense.

There is no such thing as a perfect dog but they can make you think they are.It helps if they are Fast, accurate, and smart.

X2, but that don't work around here with them ''scatter brained killers'',once they run dog off tree, it better not bark nowhere near it again, they'll chase it off and go back to tree'n. they're real sneaky, ''independent'', about trying to kill another dog.

Yea some times it don't work like you said they will just runem down.
It amazes me how so many people confuse independat with jealuse

Mine would be a dog well trained, smart and easy to deal with. Smells the track first and is fast to get to it. Sticks to the tree and has a good, deep bay we can hear, or a high-pitched bay (we can also hear that!). One that can smell old tracks and also has good bloodlines. Patient so won't leave the tree and would be good at bench showing too. Brave to jump threw creeks or run threw thron bushes.

For some time now i have been looking for a decent dog and i have tried several dogs out onley to find they aren't what the guy said they are.
Last night a man that I've been talking to for several days about a gyp calls and ask if i wanted to try hiis dog.
we went out and this dog trees 2 coon 2 dens and one slick persimon the dog was as he told me she's not perfict but she is what he said she was. Its nice to finally deal with a honest man! Thank you mr Richie Taylor for a nice dog that is what you told me.
