They went bankrupt because of Union workers who wouldn't know an honest days work if it slapped 'em in the face and payin' 'em salaries disproportionate for what they were producing.Why do you think Michigan just voted to be a right-to-work State????They are finally seein the light and seein' thru all the ******** the Unions "have to offer".Ya,right!!!!!

I don't worship the dollar bill but there are plenty who go to Church on Sunday that truely put the Dollar Bill ahead of anything else.

I have been on lots of Union job sites. If you don't work, they send down the road.

The middle class has lost over 40% of it's wealth in the last few years. The middle class in Michigan will take even more of a loss now.

kind of like how the american public got obamacare forced on us. i guarantee it wouldnt have passed if it was put to the vote. obama should have lost this election if for no other reason than instituting obama care

Why should the non-union worker in a union plant get the raises, pensions, and paid holidays and vacations that the union negotiates? Kinda like getting something for nothing, may be freeloading?

hate to break it to you but you dont need a union to get raises and paid holidays. as for pensions, they are what are breaking companies and state and local governments around the country.

im not sure if a democrat wants to get on the subject of free loaders.

i work in a right to work state, work for a large corporation, im middle class as can be, no union, and i get 4 weeks paid vacation, 6 paid sick days, and 9 paid holidays. we did away with pension a few years back because the company saw it was unsistanable. they uped our 401k match to 7% and every year they put in a 10% profit share into the 401k and they also set up a health savings plan that will be there if you retire through the company, all as part of making up for the pension going away. we get raises each year in the amouint based upon on prior years performance. i would say that is great benefits without one shread of collective bargaining needed to get it done

When it comes to a dollar bill, I like to see that every gets a chance to earn one. The are folks that that worship the dollar bill and try to hog all they can get, any way they can get it. Christ threw the money changers out of the temple.

Rance, your job and corporation is the exception, not the rule. And it is subject to change. Maybe you like to play stock market craps with your future but I would rather be coon hunting and I leave the stock market crap to those who enjoy it. Guys like me get fleeced all of the time. But, I don't play the game so I didn't lose.

There are lots of folks getting cheated out of the pensions they were promised.

EVERY union shop I've worked at would NOT let you work there if you didn't belong to the union. It was always in their contracts.
Now , with RTW here in Michigan , they can.

I worked Union all my life and now, thanks to my Union, I get my pension check every month. I reckon there are plenty of scabs that are starving or will starve when they get too old or sick to work.

So now you want to tax people based on their religious affiliation? I'm sure there are greedy, covetous people that claim Atheism, Buddhism, etc. Do they all need to pay more taxes, or just the ones who claim to be Christian? Does this cover all income brackets?
