I went squirrel huntin today and saw 2 coon laying up. Think it was about noon when I saw them.
Went tonight. 5 dens seen coons in two of them. One obvious slick. Seemed like they didn't move till about eleven.
hunt
Just got in.. made 2 drops 2 legit dens on big ditch banks...she opended about 300 yds and pushed it 2 mi locked up! the next she opened 30 yds and went a mile and a half..Oh and shes only 10 mo old...lol
1.5 and 2 miles!!!
that was 1 long legged coon......lol
if my hound runs a track 2 miles here chances are she crossed 2 roads and it wasn't a coon. they won't live long in the road either.

coon werent moving here last night should have gave up early but thought we could tree atleast one. hunted until ten and never saw one coon. even tried standing corn. seemed like to me they would have been moving. snowed most of the day yesterday and was a nice night. temp was 32 degrees.
!st drop at 9 treed 5 in 2 trees by the neighbors bait pile 900 yds in. Then went to another honey hole a few miles away. WELL lets just say it was one of those " I ain't never seen Fred do that before" moments LOL run, tree for a second then move, this nonsense went on for 2 miles thru 3 different woods, then shut up lined down a bone dry ditch and finally locked down treed. Went in and got him on some property I have never been on before, up in the tree was the skinniest, sorriest looking coon I have ever seen, left it and called it a night.
i'm with markknepp...hunting early and nothing but pissed off but around 11 things start to happen, not good but happen.
Made 3 drops treed 3 coon tonite. Back before 9 to watch Sunday nite football. Finally the coons around here were stirring some.
i made 3 drops in 3 good spots i know got coon never got a bark

I think it has more to do with the time at night you hunt
