I would like to thank Pro Pup Trainer Preston Owens for his help with Zeke this weekend.
I went to Arkansas with 3 dogs but only made it back with 2.
Ramblin Red Zeke had such a good time that he decided to stay there with Dale Weaver for a month or two for some advanced training.
Zeke with Shorty and Bear..

Nothin any better to look at than red dogs standing on a tree with a coon. Looking good Richard

Zeke has had four coons shot out in the last two weeks and hasn t put his mouth on any of them. Tieing him back till he starts treeing on them. Hang um up and let him tree on un
, but never put his mouth on one. He got so intence barking up at one he chew the leash up some. Alot of the coons we re treeing are layups and he can t even smell them till they hit the ground.

I am going to Arkansas to pick up Rambling Red Lil Zeke this week and bring him back home. The S/S is over so Bear will have to take a break and I will get to take Zeke hunting now. I can't wait to see him.

Now 13 mos old Ramblin Red Little Zeke and 2 X World Champion In It To Win It Reba. Won't they have some fine pups with a whole lotta Zack in them.

Buck, you sure would have been proud of that Moose/Sally blood last night. I guess that I am going to have to move this thread over to the Stud Dog Promotions site now.
Time
To move back to the top ^^^^^^^

James, Zeke has been "in training" for a while now just waiting for you to come out of retirement. He has been brought along slowly but surely because I have been concentrating on Bear. It has been 9 mos since he treed for the first time and I took the very first picture in this thread. He is ready for the next step now, a good handler and his second "kill" season.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe what a great job that Crazy James has done with Zeke. He is 19 mos old now and James has put a bunch of coons out on him. Zeke looked like a million dollars last night. He will definitely be ready for Southern Redbone Days.
Zeke, on the wood
Zeke at 18 months and King Richard at 6 months.
It has been 12 mos since Zeke and I went to Arkansas, so we are going back next weekend. Zeke has come a long ways in that 12 mos thanks to quite a few different handlers. I took him to our first UKC hunt last night. He backed a dog on a coon the first drop. He treed a coon by himself on the next drop to take the lead and then backed another dog on a possum right at the end to lose. You would think that someone along the way would have broken him off possums. I wonder if they have any possums over in Cedar Grove, North Carolina?
I would have done it if he had treed one. Bad luck!!!of

James, I couldn't get too mad because he looked/sounded so good on the coon that he treed by himself. It must have been up for awhile. A 5 yr old and a 3 yr old walker did not even act like they could smell it.
Zeke and I get to hunt with "Mr Zack" himself next week.

When and where will The Southern Redbone days be held at? i am a new coonhunter. Been at it for about 5 years. Had a nice T TOP male that was looking good and unfortunately got ran over by a car. He was almost 2. It was a devastating loss for me and my daughters that coonhunt with me. He was actually my 11 year olds dog. But he was loved by our entire family. We are going to get another Redbone and start over. Redbones are the only breed i considered when we decided to purchase one. My granddad and uncles had Redbones 40 something yers ago that they ran Bobcats with. I sure like the T Top breeding for grit and determination. Max was going to make an awesome dog.
