boys we got 53 votes for an 83 against but if it was held n wv how many of those 83 wouldnt partcipate i know alot of guys said they wouldnt go down to LA but they didnt have ne trouble fillin the 100 dog slots either

With WV Sate hunt scores being 1575+ really think a world hunt would produce a world champion ....true world champion coondog ? Now I am probably going to be cursed for stating this but it is a fact, Feel free to do your homework. Just in previous years everyone was griping about SETW day scores ... 1575 + in Wv .... yea right.

I live and hunted the great state of WV all my life, Would love to have the World hunt in our backyard...Just be prepared to take all the heat when BS scores over a 1000 come rolling in.

ive seen 1,000 n over + scores come back they werent bs jst guys with good dogs n good feeder bucketts and yes buckets before u jump on my case about usin feeders when u hunt n ohio or ne where else in the mid west what u huntin big old corn fields we dont have em so we use portable ones

Well i am asuming you are one of the ones that like to hunt in the world hunt since you are wanting it in w.v.so it will be closer and you dont have to drive as far as you have in the past.I didnt do very good got beat at the rqe.

All I am saying is if UKC can have the world hunt in Louisiana they can have it in WV. That's all I'm saying. I won the WV State Hunt in 2008 and scored 506 1/4 Friday night and 912 1/2 Saturday night and didn't hunt a single feeder it was all wild.

What was the highest score at the world hunt this year was I think 500 so it sounds like to me WV has more coons than Louisiana and less snakes and absolutely no gators!!!

But I think West Virginia should have a chance to have the world hunt. There's plenty of good hunting. You can either go to Ohio or Kentucky if they have it at Milton which is a neutral place in West Virginia. People can go anywhere to hunt from Milton

Yes I would like to see it be held in my state just the same for any other. I would be more apt to go if it was. JMO I think that feeder buckets should not be hunted on any level expecialy the world hunt. They,re crowning the top dog of the world so it should have it all, hunt, track, and tree. I.m not saying that the winners of prev. years dont, but you look at some of these nite hunts and you will see pr, nite ch. gr nite dogs run out 100 yards then come back and not go 50 yards from you when there is no track close. It makes me wonder just how much of a dog is actually winning these hunts on any level. This is just what I,ve noticed with some in my area, not saying everywhere. I would like to see how some of these top dogs would handle them selves up here in the high country running thickets and tree tops, working the woods for 1000yards to find a feeder track then running another 1000 to put the meat in the tree. this is not the norm by no means but I do see it more than most.

my opinion is that the fewer coon there are to tree, the more
'luck" is involved in being the cast winner.
I dont go fishing where I know there are very few fish.
Im all for moving it around but go where every cast will be in places that they can tree several coon without leaving the country.
iowa,illinois,indiana,ohio,wisconsin,michigan all have good clubs with coon populations that are worthy of having the world finals and its almost impossible to put a cast where they cant tree multiple coon. Other states have pockets of good hunting but you had better draw a good guide or you are done. JMO

I think it there would be more luck in heavey coon. Im sure you heard the saying a blind squirle finds a nut now and then. Same with dogs hit enough trees your bound to get a score. If you got a first strike first tree dog thick or thin you should win.
