-- How would you judge this (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928272565)
James , people will try anything to win . But if you want to win in this sport it will take" knowing the rules ". Saying that I'm not doubting you one bit .
Good luck to you and know them rules inside & out .
Assuming the dog moved and should have been minused, you still did not properly question the judges call and that is the bottom line.

Well, when JBG treed his dog, where the light was shining, then the other guy trees, and hid light was left handed. That is considered a split to me. But seeing how we weren't on the cast, we can't say what was what
My dogs rarely split but they sound split most of the time to my ears at least at some pont on the way to the tree. These are solid lock down 100 bark a minute dogs so I know they have not been milling.
I may be in error as to how I brought up moving him to 125,but what I was trying to say to the judge, Is your dog is not treed with mine ...IS HE TREED SOMEWERE ELSE( 125) or is he minused -75 or is he treed at all.......IN MY OPINION THE JUDGE TOLD THE STORY AS I DID, but he took no action to minus or declare him treed somewhere else, but just previously his action and his own admission put him to the left, This was a zone hunt and I feel most handlers would not have let this go as a free pass, the judge sure enuff comfirmed my thoughts when he put the dog at a different tree with his light and by his own admittance.......Maybe 2 handlers screwed up...BUT THE BEST DOG WON THE CAST AND THIS HAD NO EFFECT ON THE OUTCOME.......BUT IT COULD HAVE...... too many times I have witnessed small things that were not dealt with immediately come back to bite you in the rear.I did get hot for a minute but someone needed to say somethin...I PROBABLY DID NOT QUESTION IT PROPERLY....BUT WITH THAT I,LL END HERE....I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE UKC ALLOW.... HUNTING JUDGES AT THE ZONES...IF YOU ASK ME I THINK THERE IS TOO MUCH AT STAKE FOR 3 OTHER HANDLERS TO ALLOW A HUNTING JUDGE AFTER ADVANCING at AN RQE ....TO MUCH ON THE LINE.....jmo, THANKS FOR ALL COMMENTS,

James, I'll take a non-hunting judge anytime I can get one IF.....they are competent and tough enough to take pressure. Too many aren't. If they aren't, then I want a hunting judge, good or bad because I can deal with that when we get to the MOH but taking a question back with non-hunting judge is nothing but an exercise in futility.
