-- Nonhunting Judge Question (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928271860)
This really has nothing to do with the handler and dog and I should have left that out of it. This was all about an incorrect judgement call.
Since its Monday, maybe Allen can provide a response. Is there anyway in UKC to get a nonhunting judges decision to circle an obviously slick tree reversed? What would be the procedure? What would UKC consider to uphold or reverse the call?
Also, if the judge will not tell you his decision, what should you do? Demand to see the card? What if the judge has not reflected his decision on the card?
I think if the judge wouldnt reveal how he was scoring the tree, I would place a ? on the card immediatly challenging his ability to judge according to the rules (rule 11,MUST BE SCORED IN PLAIN VIEW OF ALL)and head for the clubhouse to request another judge. As far as him circleing a tree that was slick your probably out of luck because a MOH. isnt going to reverse his judge on a tree he cant see, but refusing to tell the cast how he was scoreing the tree is a direct violation and should get ya a new judge.

Judge should be barred end of discussion. 4 people think it should be minused and it was circled? Done, Gone, Good bye.
Wonder if UKC would ever adopt the "anyone trying to give a dog UNDESERVING points" rule?
Or even the ability to take a panel back to a tree to be scored rule...
People do this because they know they can get away with it and UKC has nothing in the book to put a stop to it.

The answer to the question is no. You can question anything but the moh cannot overturn a non hunting judge on scoring a tree.

quote:I didnt know that. Had a cast here while back. Non hunting judge on ntch cast. One guys dog slick trees. Which minuses him out. He questioned it cause it had a hole in the creek bank well below tree but dog was up on tree. If coon went in hole. Dog should of been at hole

Anyhow he lost his question but the moh heard the question and it was a tree scoring question.__________________

It's in the Advisor, I'd have to look it up. And I guess I should qualify my answer. A moh can do ANYTHING and it will prolly stand but UKC has said they aren't to overturn a non-hunting judge when scoring the tree.
