Each Zone can only send so many to the World Finals based on entries in their respective zone.

Double cast winners automatically go - the rest of the placements are based on the highest scores of single cast winners, therefore the dog with the single cast win of 700+ would go before the cast winner with 450+ , regardless of the other nights score.

If there had been enough slots to fill, The dog with 450+ could have made it.

This has been the way the Top 100 have been determined @ the Zones & World Finals have been for many many years.

Where do you find this? I looked at the dogs moving on to the world and can't find one that advanced on minus points. Every dog that advanced either had double cast wins WITH PLUS POINTS or a single cast WITH PLUS POINTS that was high enough to place them high enough to advance, unless they were SCRATCHED one of the two nights.

IF YOU DON'T WIN YOUR CAST YOUR SCORE MEANS NOTHING !!!!!!
DOUBLE CAST WINNERS WITH PLUS POINTS ADVANCE 1ST .... THEN THE NEXT HIGH SCORE SINGLE NIGHT PLUS POINT CAST WIN AND SO ON TILL ALL SPOTS ARE FULL..... YOU MUST HUNT BOTH NIGHT AND KEEP FROM MINUSING OUT, OR BEING SCRATCH FOR WHAT EVER REASON. A DOUBLE CAST WINNER WITH 25 + EACH NIGHT PLACES HIGHER THAN A SINGLE NIGHT 1000 + CAST WINNER.....

KINDA SIMPLE WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ??????

Let's try this?

Ok ....after you get qualified at a world qualifying hunt Ukc gives you 2 opportunitys to advance to the World hunt thru the Zone hunt. The zones are set up to advance the most consistent hounds capable of CONSISTANTLY winning their cast, whether you win with 2000 plus points or 25 plus points you have to be the TOP dog in your cast. ( The Cast Winner .). Not being ugly here but having 1800 plus but not being the cast winner only means first looser ..lol .. It doesn't matter because you still wasn't the best dog in your group on that night. Don't we want the best of the best ? Shouldn't the World Hunt be a test of the most CONSISTANT cast winning hounds so when we crown the winner we know they was the best of the best on the nights they were in competition ? Double cast win shows consistency which should be awarded, then they go to single cast and look to who was the dominate cast winner with the highest score, if they are ties they go thru their tie breaking system. If it was an elimination hunt as some are stating ? Those dogs with plus points but not cast winners would be eliminated and then we wouldn't be having these questions because those dogs would have been out. Well... I hope this is right ?? Does this explain kinda or have I just rambled on deliriously ??? LOL ..... Chris

P.S. just wanted to say when I addressed the( first looser ) above it wasn't meant to take anything away from anyone or their hound it was meant to explain that the cast winning score is all that counts . Thanks

Yes because the100 minus and the 225 plus do not mean anything. They are not a part of a cast win.
The only thing that counts is the cast win. And a cast win of 125 is higher than a cast win of 50.

so a dog with 125 cw and 100 minus next night wins over 50 plus cast win 225 plus no cast win second night?

so other than two cast wins it goes to highest score from a single cast win either night? [/QUOTE]
