I agree with this 100%.. I don't care if your rep or dem or what have ya. How many people look at their doc bill and say WTF!!!!! Stuff they charge you for is 10 times the price. Example Daughter sprung her knee at a track meet the school took her to the ER. They put her in brace. Brace cost 350 bucks. I go to Walgreens the same dang brace 35 dollars. Why is it that other countries can get the same meds at a 1/4 of the cost of U.S citizens. Doctors that can give free treatment to other countries when theirs people right here needing it. Being in a union factory we do studies all the time to help with gaining a better contract. Trust me on this if you actually seen the mark up that americans have to pay on medical treatment compared to others you would want to burn your doctor office down.

So which country has the best doctors in the world? Yall wanna live like these other countries. Go there and live. Take elpresidenta with ya please. The insurance companies sure as heck ain't what's breaking the country. That's stupid. Unions prolly play a bigger role on that than insurance.

No, it's not the doctors. Nice try though my liberal friend. It's the lawyers, which are left alone to steal from the healthcare system at will in this bill.

The reason other countries can get the meds cheaper is because the companies don't have to worry about getting sued by "1-800 BAD DRUG". Look it up, it's a real sleazebag lawyer group that make a living stealing from the pharmacutical companies.

As for the mark up in the ER, it's the same thing. Someone with lots of initials beside their name has to prescribe it, and someone else has to give it. They can all be sued, and the ER has to buy their stuff from gubment regulated suppliers, who have to document lots of other things as well thus driving up the cost tremendously.

That's the problem, the gubment and lawyers.

Oh and the reason doctors leave the US and give free care in other countries is because

1. Giving free care in the US is a quick way to get in trouble with the gubment for insurance fraud because Medicare says they have to be the cheapest price so if docs do too much free care here they can go to jail for it.

2. Even if the doc gives free care in the US they can still be sued and extorted for millions of dollars by lawyers for the care they provided free of charge.

3. The people in the other countries actually appreciate it more and say thank you.

LOL. ok your right only repilcans are hunters and blah blah. I never said i was democrat either but i must be cause i work in union plant. Give me a break. I don't believe in what obama is doing is constionally right and as far union being the problem don't get bent cause some people choose to have group fight for better pay benefits retirement and so on. The point i'm making is that US health care has to purchase the same medicine medical equipment from these other business for a much higher price which then the hospitals adds some more to it then you as a patient pay a higher price. Where as the same stuff is being sold to other countries at much cheaper price. GA DAWG next time u make a statement to a Vetran about leaving the USA if he don't like it why not make it to his face instead typing your comments on here PUP. I've paid my dues to voice any dam opinion i want for or about this country. Another thing this country can do is get rid of the illegals that cost us who go to work every day Billions of dollars on medical help they recieve but never pay for which in return the cost is past on to us.

Well until there's a president rep or dem or whatever that has the B@LL$ to actually do what needs to be done it's going to be a problem. American people on both sides are getting fed up with it. It's the small groups that each party has that make enough noise to stop what needs to be done. I remember when i was kid i could walk anywhere in this town and not have to worry about being shot stabb gangs wanta beat your a$$ cause you were in there hood. There's parts of my town that now you don"t go after dark don't go during cinco de mayo blah blah. There is a easy solution to the problem but the tree hugging human rights their people too groups would raise such a fuzz and they fill the pockets of the politicians. There's alot this country needs done. Let's face it for the people by the people left the building a long time ago. Now it's for the big business by the big business and all them yippy yappy people as well.

Joe I sincerely thank you for your service for our county. Ou made this place better for my family and I and im extremely grateful. But if you think Romney is a godly man you have got another thing comin. He believes on god... But does not believe Jesus Christ came to earth in Gods form to save us by grace. Every SINGLE president has had that core belief. Except Romney. That doesn't sit well with me

You have been totally misinformed about the Mormon faith. I am a Southern Baptist. I agree we need a godly man in the White House. (Romney) It was their faith in God that brought Ann Romney through all her battles. (cancer & MS) I realize that alot of different religions have some differences. When Kennedy was elected, he was a Catholic. It had nothing to do with his job as President. I support Romney for President because I feel that Obama is taking us down the path of Socialism. Then you will see your religious rights threatened. I have more confidence in Romney leading our country out of this mess because Obama has already failed us for four years, lied to the American people, threatened religious rights ( the Catholics). You need to worry about Obama and his religious past (Rev. Jeremiah Wright) and other things that I feel are shady. We have alot more to worry about than a little controversy over Romney's religion. We need to worry about other things such as jobs, socialism taking over, our religious rights, gun rights, abuse of welfare, food stamps and the free stuff that is driving our deficit up. We need less government and less taxes. We also need to control our spending. Trust me, if Obama is re-elected, our Country will be destroyed.

This will be my last post on this topic unless someone addresses me because this is slightly off topic (my apologies). But Romney believes in god, this much is true. But if you look deeper into the mormon faith you realize that "Jesus Christ" to them was the son of one god of a pantheon of gods. Folks don't believe everyhing you hear and vote because you hear the word God.

True and by the same token don't give Oprama credit for being "christian" cause his actions are sure anything but.

Christians never taught freeloading and stealing from people that actually work. Christians never taught it was OK to murder. Christians never taught it was OK to blatantly lie if it was what was needed to advance your agenda (a quote from Oprama to Wright was your job is much harder you can't lie and I can).

As for you getting to keep your insurance, you won't unless you are a member of Congress. You MIGHT if you are a gubment employee, but if you are not then your insurance is gone. You will be in the gubment pool like everyone else. It was the design of this legislation to create a single payer system. It is why the tax for not providing insurance is cheaper than providing insurance. That way all employers drop their insurance and just pay the tax. Same for individuals, the tax is much cheaper than the premiums. That was by design.

John Roberts was born and raised a Catholic. He voted on this Obamacare law using Catholic philosophy. The Catholic Church in America is very liberal and is overjoyed that 32,000,000 more people are insured. The Church really doesn't care who pays for it.

I disagree that the Catholic Church is very Liberal. My sister and brother-in-law are Catholics and do not believe in abortion like the Liberals. Most Catholics are opposed to abortion. Rip, While I agree that lawsuits have done their fair share to increase healthcare costs.....I dont think its completely honest to lay all the blame at their feet.

The hospitals themselves have to shoulder some of the blame also, they figured out long ago they could inflate charges for those that had no accountability for paying the bill - insurance or government -

There is just no incentive to cut costs in our current system....

Actually no Josh you are wrong. It's not the hospitals. It's a direct result of the lawyers stealing every chance they get.

Whether you realize it or not physicians salaries only account for LESS THAN 10% of healthcare costs.

Lawyers are more than 33%, yep nearly 1 in 3 healthcare dollars goes to a lawyer. It's sad that the ones stealing, who add no value to the patient makes 3 times as much as the ones actually helping the patient to get well.

Then you have to add in defensive medicine, that's when a provider orders a test not becaue of medical need, but to cover him/her in case of a lawsuit.

Then you have the gubment regulations, hospitals can only buy from certian people who have to document tons of stuff and it has to be approved by the gubment. Then only certian people are allowed to administer it.

For an example check out the difference in prices for antibiotics for dogs and humans. Say Flagyl, same antibiotic. You can get it for your dogs way, way, way cheaper than you can even buy it generic for humans because of gubment regulation. Then add in the documentation, time and regulations in a hospital setting you will see very quickly where the cost comes from, gubment and lawyers.

Sure hospitals do have some mark up, every business does but they need to stay above water and make some profit. But by far the biggest cost in healthcare is from lawyers and the gubment.

You didn't address the fact that doctors go to jail for treating people for free. Why is that OK and why does the gubment not want them to treat people that need it for free? Because they want complete and total control that's why and the best way to get it is to create a crisis by hook or crook and then come up with the "solution" that involves the largest tax increase and largest power grab in American history.
