I'll tell you the name of some individuals that would a cheat a kid in a Nite hunt (this was from the 80's)
Morrie Noble, Iowa
Buck Kimbrough, Missouri
Just about every MoFo from the state of Illinois
Some real low lifes that haunt, or used to haunt the nite hunts
Hey mike. I think I remember you from the hunts when I used to hunt before the navy. There are a lot of cheaters around east tn. But I still have a lot of connections in the hunts. I can put the word out about those guys if you want to send me their names. Either way keep her in the hunts. I got burnt until I learned the rules. I was a real stickler for the rule book but rules are rules. But have her learn those rules and pretty soon she will be beating the guys that try to cheat her with a smile on her face

I have participated In ONE comp hunt. I was 18 years old. When we unloaded the dogs I patted mine and said are you ready boy? We turned lose after just a short walk and my dog had first strike and first tree. While shining a big oak full of leaves the hunting judge and his buddy were shining together and talking off out of my hearing. No coon was seen but before we left the tree the judge came to me and told me I had been struck from the cast for encourage my dog and I should take him back to the truck. I ask them to score me and put a question mark for it to be brought up with the moh. I was told that we here going to settle this there in the woods. Of course the judge and his buddy had made up there minds and the other guy was indifferent and seemed not to have an opinion. I was somewhat intimidated and Not knowing any better I left the cast and took Ranger back to the truck. When a caught back up with them they were hurriedly leaving a tree In Which they had plus pointed. I of course was not there to see the coon and they had no intentions of showing me a coon. That was the only plus points for the cast that night as all other trees were circled. When I got back to the club house the moh told me I should not have left the cast and should have questioned the call. I told him I tried but was told it would be settled in the woods. it cost me over 100 dollars to go and participate in the hunt which was 21 years ago And at that time i was making about 200 dollars a week. I decided right then comp hunting wasn't for me. I have know guys to pay 2000 for a titled dog that wasn't worth feeding. I thought the competition was about the dogs ability not the handlers knowledge of the rules and how to twist them in there favor.I wouldn't want to beat anyone like that. If someone be it adult or kid had a better dog that night I would want them to win regardless. If I knew I was hunting with a young person that wasn't as knowledgable as myself about the competition I would help them to learn not use my knowledge of the rules to bet them. Unfortunately that wasn't the case with any of the three people in my cast that night on my first and only comp hunt 21 years ago.

Cody good to here from you she wont quite becouce she wonts to grnite the little he is out of fightin side and she has done granded him on the bench. He should have done been but we been hunting her red dog and she has ayoung walker but we put them on hold for now be safe and keep in touch.
I have only been in a few hunts so far and dad spectates. And the folks in the cast have been straight with me so far. But I can tell you what has got me, people cheating me out of my money!
I sent a $250 deposit and never got a hair off a puppy. When dad got on here the guy I sent it to, all his friends starting saying "days of our lives" and laughed it off. Then I sent money for a deposit on a pup to another man. Over a year I waited in line for my pup. Finally I picked my pup out. The man who had the litter sent my pup with another man to Tennessee, to get it closer to me. As a favor, a $75 favor. Dad and I combined over 50 calls to that man and never got a answer. The owner of the pups admitted even he couldn't reach him. A couple weeks later my pup is on here, a man had bought him and was showing him off. I asked where he got him.....he got him from the original owner of the litter!!!!!
I'm 14 and I work on the farm. I work from 5 a.m. til noon. They don't let me work every day but I want to. The guy who got my pup said he would take double what the original price was. I can't work that many hours before school starts back.
Then the original owner pm's me and tell me he don't appreciate me calling his buddy a crook (well I didn't use them words). And I can buy a pup out of a litter due in August. Well guess what, no August pup is going to be old enough to hunt this season.
So far I have $250 lost with 1 man, $100 that has been sent for a year and I'll probably lose it.
And then there is this preacher I have $100 lost to........
I can not disrespect an adult and I am not allowed to call any names. Dad says his friend Karma will do its job and we may get to be there when it does. But I just thought I wanted to grow up and do my own business. Not any more.

hang in there young man. if i was closer i would give you a pup.
sometimes life ain't good, but life always plays fair with crooks like those you described. all they do is cheat, cheat, and cheat some more for money. your dad is right though.
i know you're disgusted, but don't give up. people are gonna be bad no matter what, and don't care what you say. they'll stupe to anything to cheat and their buddies will run to their aid by saying you did something you did'nt. thats how they roll.
so i'll say it for ya. if you did this to this young man, and anyone backing this crook, you are as useless as pants on a hooker.
may you be rewarded double ''SAAH'':
I just gotta get in, and i sure do miss 14, cause there would be hello to pay for taking a kids money. WPOS DIM '' ND $AAH'' CHEATERS.
5 1 5 0 just this side'a LOCO!!!!!!!!1 % crazy!1.
Thank you sir.
My pup being sold to someone else and me having to wait on another litter after my deposit has been in for a year bothers me more than anything.
More than them folks stealing my $250 deposit. More than the preacher still having $100 of mine.
But I am not going to sit and wait for these men to do right, too late for that. I already have plans in motion for me something of my own to train this season.

CHEATED
I hope you get a good, no great pup or dog to hunt.
i wouldnt buy pup from crook that sold your pup if i never had another. THAT WAS NOT DEAL YOU MADE,and all your money should be returned. karma will sort it out in future, it always make it right.
hey, but the truth coming out is good thing though.
and forgive'n is easy, forgetting is harder.
as in your case, 1 buzzard always attracts another.
hope you tear'm up inthe future, they cheated you money wise and will try cheating you in hunts too, stay cool though, their pro crooks.
this world would be a much better place if everyone would just take a chill pill, and probally even better if some would choke on it. i'm just joking about last part.LOL GOOD HUNT'N
Thank you Mr Headless01. The deal with my $250, dad did mention names on here but it didn't matter them folks buddys are always going to be buddys.
I wish I had easy money but I promise I work hard everyday they let me come in. Money isn't free here. But 3 different folks have managed to get my money.
These men have never met me, so if I was standing next to their big name stud dog or at a hunt where they were.....they wouldn't even know I'm the one they rooked.

Sounds like a bummer ty. But I might edit that last post, you know in case anything did happen. And I'll tell you something else, sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. And the way these folks do business and cheat and lie takes the fun out of it for THEM. I do this for fun and love it. Your time will come and I will bet you will walk behind some hounds that legends are made of in your lifetime. Cherish your youth while you have it and worry about how you can sleep at night. These guys will get what's comin to em. Just keep your head up, and heart in the right place
Thank you Mr Vernonsdream. Yes I editted that. Shouldn't have said nothing.
But hay bails are heavy, lofts are dusty, wasps sting, sun is hot, and I have put in many hours and paid my money just to see my pup on some other man's post telling everybody what a nice pup he has bought.

I sure appreciate the offer sir but the best news to date......
I bought a puppy and it will be here today
now I have to say we have had alot of pups thru here that we have started and sold. But this is the 1st one I have ever bought for myself with my own money.
I have waited over a year to get 1 with 4 world champions in a 3 generation pedigree. All that done was cost me a total of $350 and alot of grief.
I will post some pics on here when I get pup home today.

all new comp hunters (kids or adults) need to know they can question anything they feel wasnt right on there cast. ask for a question mark to be put on the score card right when it happens. dont wait so the judge tells you its too late. until you are satisfied with the answer dont let em erase your question either. its ok to take the question back to the moh. even if you were wrong. thats how you learn. i know its hard but dont get mad if you know you are right. dont give up if you were wrong. good luck to all
Ty, good luck with your new puppy and in future hunts. glad to hear about a young man working hard and buying what he wants. congrats to you and to who taught you these values
Thank you Mr Badboy2012. I won't ever forget how long I waited only to see my pup on somebody else's post. It might would been different if I'd had the money give to me but I worked hard for every penny I paid down. When I asked for my deposit back I got no reply....
2 things I learned. A guy can be just as happy with a not so pretty pup as he can with a solid blanket backed sharp looking pup.
And just because somebody runs ads every month and ads daily on computer that don't mean they are honest.
The pup I'm getting today is out of some dogs dad use to hunt with and against. These are the Skuna River bred dogs and Homer's Gomer plus Whitey. I have to thank my dad for telling me about these and Mr Ben Crocker for being an honest man and Mr Joe Wilson for keeping my pup for a week.
I am looking forward to training and entering the hunts with "Skuna River Wood Machine - - aka Boner"

Was just talkin with a gentleman yesterday about the lack of youth & the one & done "New" comp hunters in certain area's. Seem's they consistantly get boned by certain individuals who pull out all stops'ta win & make their dawgs grand. Unfortunately this has been well known for several years & the lack of entries as well as new faces have reflected it just as long.
Pretty sad stuff yet they wonder why the 5 & 6 dog hunts never grow in their area?

Ty, your pup definitely looks like a Clover and Fred dog. Better looking than the other pup hands down I think. He is bred nice and hopefully will make you a good one
