I'd be checking the dates on the bag and the plant it came from.

Some older batches of the Diamond dog food is lethal.

What may be a $5 bargain, may be costlier than you want to pay for.

A lot of the deer hunters from back home fed the stuff and I would have been ashamed to claim some of their dogs.

thanks for the info, dont think i will be trying to get any more of it then..the stuff i fed was back in the early 80's .dont remember if they had different blends or not but dogs stayed in good shape as they were hunted hard back then ,when i had a local job ..
would take 3-4 dogs out at dark till midnight and come back and get 3-4 more and go back out till daylight, sometimes on that last drop did make it back home just in time to get to work without a bath, lol,,good thing i was the only one driving the trash truck..nobody ever got close to the trucks much to notice which one of us was doing the most smelling, lol

like buckshot said,,
some of that stuff was killing dogs,,
hope that $5 stuff isnt the same bags,

local feed store may be some kind of lowlife if it is..

better check the dates and numbers before feeding it.

Jim Dandy

O" for a bag of Jim Dandy. That's what we gave them in the 60's That and homemade dog feed cooked in a washpot useing meat scrapes and cornmeal. Worked just fine.
