Probably want none of us on here talking about it win it anyhow but we are the ones paying for it and in the slim to none chance I was to get there. Id like to get some money. Plus Id try harder to get there if money winning was involved. We could also just buy 10 or 15 k worth of trophy shop visa cards. Just so the ones that like trophy's better than money can have em plenty of trophy's lol.

I guess its pretty easy for most of us to sit here and talk about how nice it would be to add $$$ to the the world hunt.....Much like when we started getting those performance checks, all of a sudden there were threads about ways of increasing the payout.....

I dont care one way or the other.

But, I really doubt partisipation would increase because of a cash prize.

i will say this we got a few in this year and we wont be going cause theres no money involved and its a heavy running month in PKC and if your in the state race you need the money on your dog...might change our mind if there was a hunk of change up for grabs

Ukc will never make it a $ hunt..... lets face it ukc is more like a novice class or beginner class nothing more.... if you want $ from the ukc world hunt get a black n tan aren't they paying 10k to the world champion black dog.... after the world hunt is over sell it ! Get another one next year !

adding to the cost of going to an rqe is not the answer. UKC prides itself, and they should, by trying hard to have a world hunt that the average Joe can go to and compete. While i can agree a $5.00 added fee isn't much, in terms of entry fee, if you look around, the entrys have been off everywhere this year. Everywhere i have been, and folks i have talked to have stated the cost to get here is to high. What cost? GASOLINE. People can not afford to ride the long distances anymore, unless they are being banked rolled by those who can. The big hunt entries are down, the local hunt entries are down, and why? COST TO GET THERE! It is time to wake up. Our illegal occupier in the White House wants our cost to rise even more. OH YES, he is on record of saying it himself. He wants our GAS prices to be as they are in Europe. You think things are bad now, just wait. $5.00 per gallon gas, and everything else rises in cost, folks just will not be able to attend the sport that a lot of us love. NO, the KISS method works very well, and has for some 36 years now. That is KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. UKC should be commended for trying to do just that. Not drug through the mud saying they are the money hungry registry that wants it all. Know that other registry thinks that way enough for all of them.

I would be very surprised if added money would increase participation. I would make a small wager that this kennel club on average enters more dogs than the $KC world hunt. Now I'm talking about different dogs not dogs that have lost 2-3-4 nights and keep reentering.

UKC enter 600+ dogs consistantly, $KC may enter around the 500.

This year will be different. I think they will be lucky to get 450 because of the location.
