Yep. Lucy is an awesome momma just like her momma and grandma were. I don't know how she makes so much milk no bigger than she is, but her pups never go hungry.

Had some people asking about female pups. We only had enough females to have 1 for sale to the public, and it was spoken for long ago. One individual actually booked a pup from this litter when he booked a pup from Lucy's last litter regardless of what we bred her to. Thanks everybody.

This is Lucy when she was younger and I was a lot tougher. Bill and I have really done her an injustice. She had the ability to be a real winner, but she hasn't been hunted much in the last few years. We should have our tails kicked for not hauling her to some bigger hunts in UKC and PKC.

Are they about ready to wean? Lucy was and still is a top hound. She gets through the countryside and gets treed. I believe Hokie was a half brother to her. Hokie was one of the better trackdogs I have ever been to the woods with. Hokie went down in a corn field race and he died a couple days later. He was exceptional on running a track on big water.

Ken, can't say you'll get one like Ruby but I wish I could predict that. I hunted Ruby and Flo together for about a year and enjoyed listening to them run a track and get treed. I knew mleck would expose her more than I could since I had other mates. Lucy and Rebel are first cousins. They were born on the same day. They took turns kicking on each other in competition. Can't say how the litter will turn out but they should be some good looking scamps with big mouths.

Ken you must rememebr this hunt different than I do. If we would have saw a coon in that cherry tree you were treed on as time ran out I would have been beat with Ruby not covering it. I kept waiting for her to get to opening somewhere the other direction but when time ran out and I tracked her she was only 150 yards from us and I called her in.

nope remember reb left that tree and pulled to the swamper dog i treed him to early tryin to catch you and ruby....outlaw dog was treed on cherry tree but we didn't see coon swamper and reb was treed on big den....ruby was dog to beat bar-none was the best female or male i've drew out against in a long time, she finished with 0 minus kept her nose clean all night would like a pup from her or Mr. Dennis rebel dog in near future........

These pups out of Lucy and Rebel should be the ultimate cross to make coondogs. I am the poorest pup man in the world as to making one what they should be. These pups need to go to those with a history of making pups coon dogs. Get one to running and treeing a little and I will be trying to buy one these pups from there.

I hope to grand out Ruby this summer as we are going to begin this task in the next week or less. After I have her Granded I will be raising a litter of pups out of her and will let you know if Hurt dont have any of these puppies left. Give Mike a call 620-433-0285 and see what he has on these. maybe he can come up with one.

I had no idea Reb wasn't already a NT Ch or Gr. NT for that matter. Exceptional Hound and what a horn he has. I told Danny {which is hurts brother and the spectatar with me that night} I really liked Reb and he was a heck of a hound. goes to show title dont make them perform any better but if they are a good one they will most all get one sooner or later. I have seen a few dogs with a NT Ch title and still wonder how they got it but most I have seen was never finished to Gr. NT unless they were still trying and made it when thy got to be like 8 or 9 years old. This maybe where Ruby and I will be at but were fixing on giving them heck for a while.

Sure wished we had all those coon in Kansas that we treed up there on Thursday night and just think how many there is today will all those litters out moving around that we seen down in the den trees. I dont guess I have ever been on a cast where two or three trees scores came off seeing baby kittens through a hole in the tree.

thanks for the comments on reb he finished with two 1st a 2nd and a 7th at southern english days with 72 dogs entered and yes they do have alot of coons in ohio.... it was good to me you at that hunt one of the best casts i've been in, we had a blast!!!! kittens are movin good here..... as for ruby like i said she'll finish easy..... Mr. Dennis ask me what would make a man sell a dog like ruby, didn't want to answer him afraid of makin him mad, i don't think he's a man you would want to make mad!!!! lol...

Elbrader sold her to me because he was broke and to lazy to hunt her.

The only ones I know about I dont think have been getting much activity. Hurt did just inforrm me this morning that he maybe calling in sick to work about 3 days a week for a wahile as he plans to start hunting every night beginning tonight. This should get his two cranked up getting out of the pen nightly.
