Well finally you manned up! I recall that hunt the first dump I was split with a coon by myself. You and another were on one and the other might have been thirty yards by himself ! The next dump you struck your dog and said she was directly in front of us and the only dog that had opened was Billy's female then Hybrid and then yours left handed and deeper! We voted on that if you remember correctly. Now you got first tree on a coon that's good . Then hybrid got treed deep and that was a long walk around that long slough we got there and was shining the tree when you up and tree your dog deep in the country I did not hear her but had I have wanted you minused I would have run the two right there but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and walk 150 yards to a clearing where I did hear her! My dog made one tree and had a coon and got part of yours and never made another tree! Had yours had another coon you would have won and I was the only one who helped you shine that last tree come on man I gave you every break I could !
yep i like hunting with urkle myself.
Better than all that I have hunted that stock of dogs for a long time all the way back to the nineties and all of them have the same traits mouths and I never ran the stationary on the dog because he never barked trees in the same spot for more than three or four barks he is not a water dog and that just goes with him ! Look if I made you mad I hate it but I take my minus and I give them when others have them coming! You obviously don't like taking yours when you got them coming the only arguing that was done that night was by you I told you if you had a problem let's vote on it and we did. I judge fairly and I also allow some breaks for areas like you being able to hear your dog when I couldn't so I moved out from under a tree where a dog was treed! Oh and by the way I was the one that said let's move up so maybe I could hear her. I think that you withdrawing would be great if that's what you want to do that way I don't have to deal with trying to judge someone who is not satisfied with anything I do you can't win every time you go to a hunt I have lost plenty of them. When I do win I don't expect to be chastised for it !
quote:first off there was no vote... i argued and you dropped it... and you were not the only one helped shine my tree you did win the cast as you said.... my point is why all the argueing when everything we argued about would have worked itself out without it... why would i tree a dog thru the country if she wasnt treed... everyone on that cast could tell when a dog is treed this was no rookie cast... i didnt try to pull anything but everytime i made a call you had to question it and thats not good judging to me... simply because there was nothing to question if there had been it would have been different

btw john your dog won as he should have im not argueing that at all.... just didnt see the need to question every call i made
I am tired of arguing with you about it everyone on that cast knew what was up and I didn't say she wasn't treed I said I couldn't hear her and as a judge I have to be able to hear the dog to judge it I did move up to hear your dog for you! Like I said if you are the only one I ever make mad I am doing good and to think I have bragged on your dogs I don't think you were cheating I think you made some bad calls and that's okay we all do it ! You judged me and made some mistakes that I said nothing about like rules that were no brainers you messed up on but we won't talk about that right now! Just get over it man I will let you judge next time maybe you can do better!

btw way john.... i have never judged you... i have drawn you twice you carried the card both nights.... did a super good job the first night
You judged me out of Colombus when someone struck and treed a walker female only to get there and it was a English female right after we killed a snake. When I asked you what you were going to do you said you were going to minus his tree points only when that was the dog he claimed the whole time he should have been minused both ways I have the card with you judging
quote:john you may be right i actually thought you were judgeing that night but either way she could only be minused on the tree.... they were both struck togeather right off the leash and the guy called the wrong dog treed so she got minused... she didnt come in so you cant minus her strike cause your dog was keeping it open you won the cast when i told you to pull your dog off the tree and lets get away from it so the coon would look

Steve just let it go I judged you fairly and I did make the effort to keep you from getting minused that is fair also like I said you judge the next one then you can't complain!
As far as the night at Columbus Jason had to strike and tree under the tree where his dog was at with us standing there the only two struck off the chain were mine and the other walker female
Well this will teach me to read the whole thread before posting. Sory guys after reading the whole thread the rules have little to do with yawls problem. Calling each others dog fits it better.
Granberry sounds like you need to move back to Okla. We get along good here. As long as I win. LOL
The one post says it all and the unhappy camper posted it. It said your judging is consistant. That is all I ask. Judge my dog just like yours all night and there is no problem. To me that is all a man can ask and a person can't say you are cheating or anything else as long as you do that.
I would say if a man says tree his dog you should tree it and ask him in what direction. Then walk out and minuse it if it isn't treeing in the direction he pointed.
But I am sure you know the rules better than me. I didn't know the judge had to hear the dog treeing before he could take the call. Makes since once you think about it though.

Come back to Texas. Hell we'll carry the gun. Score'em like we used to.
I think that would be wonderful! I hate this turned into a bashing but it seems like I made Mr. Steve mad at me but you can't make everyone happy but that is the nature of the beast! If you judge there is always going to be the chance that someone will get mad if you do it right, you can't let it enfluence the way you judge a cast you can't be a weak judge or they will run over you and the only outcome is the wrong dog ends up winning!
