the last time i climbed a tree to shake a coon out i got about 40 feet up there and looked down and i decided my dogs dont need a coon this bad so i slid down lol. i reckon my climbing days are over.lol

My cousin climbed one for me about ten years ago. The coon was in the top. I shined the light for him. He shimmied right on past a knothole you couldn't stick your thumb in. Then the bees started pouring out. I am scared of heights like I said and terrified of anything got wings with no feathers. Had it been me, I would have jumped; couldn't help myself and broke my neck. But he slid on back down not tarrying. Must have been just cool enough is all I can figure. I was shining back from fifty yards away by then just in case. But hey, I did not leave him, as much as I wanted to.

I'm bout like Lyle, I can't stand a bee. Snakes don't bother me cause they can't fly and usually you can see them before you step on them. Bees on the other hand them jokers, you can't see them till it's to late and you've been tagged a couple of times lol!!! Oh yeah, they have plenty of wingmen too.

LOL yeah makes you wonder what other bright ideas we got in store lol!!! I'm sure i'll be doing something that doesn't make any sense in the years to come. It always sounds like a great idea at first anyways, then I do it and i'm like what just happened lol!! All I can figure is that with need something to talk about later on in life LOL!!!

Had a couple young dogs tree a coon one night and the guy I was hunting with want to shake it out. Told him to wait a second and put a leash on my dog. I didnt want the dog to get the impression of leaving a tree was ok.

Buddy of mine shook one out one night that had been sittin in the tree so long the dogs didn't know it was there. Coon didn't like him bein in the tree too, came after him and he was able to kick the limb it was on right before it got to him. The dogs looked at us like we were stupid when we cut em loose, they had no clue what we were doin lol. I actually had to walk my dog pretty much to where the coon hit the ground before he realized what was goin on and took after it. Then the other dogs took off too, only ran it a couple hundred yards before they got it treed again. Turned a slow night into an interesting one!
