That show is every bit as scripted as a hollywood blockbuster movie.

Had a guy on a bass fishing website say that the producers of the show approached his aunt because of the looks of her house and paid her to film a show there. They released a possum in her basement and let the turtleman catch it. Said the producers rearranged her furniture and everything. Filmed scenes over and over because people were messing up their lines, setting up lights and props just like they were filming a movie.

Im sure its scripted but just ain't anybody gonna grab the stuff he does and put it in a bag and tornado it. He's a crazy son of a gun.That's why folks watch it. Plus them 3 country gals he went on that date with were pretty sharp

We went to somerset a few weeks ago and met him and the turtle crew, he's a pretty nice guy, he went in a pond there that i wouldn't wanna go in,and he hunted around for about 30 minutes and finally came up with a turtle.lol

I know its not the best show on tv, but man theres a lot worst ones that are on and theres one thing about it, kids seem to love him and maybe shows like this will get more of them out doors doing stuff instead of watching how famous it is to go to rehab. Give the guy a break, if you don't like it change it or go hunting for a change. lol. couldn't resist.

we had a guy from tv been on reality shows come down to our local coon club and he's wantin to shoot a bit with us about country livin and coon huntin and he told me that all the shows are scripted american pickers,pawn stars,ax men ,swamp people he said some of it is real but big majority is faked but he's wantin to do a scripted show on our club(wanted us to talk him to the woods hunted with as turned loose coon its all crazy)

Then don't watch it!!!! Myself, I love seeing someone succeed that was brought up like him.... I don't know the turtle man but I know someone who does. He probably came up pretty ruff..... And he now has a tv show!!! Good job turtle.... My 5 yr old son and 8 year old daughter loves him

Use what talents you got and see how far they take you is his whole deal. He is one of those guys who reminds us all of some cousin or uncle who was never quite like everyone else, worked hard, did what they could with school but found it a challenge to sit still, fun as can be when you are around them.

We all know someone like him and to see him riding this horse as far as it will take him drives some of us nuts but get over it and just enjoy that someone is having some success. I think I will go out an do a war cry to get some pow'r.

I hope he has some sense of saving up and putting money into some investments so when this thing stops being a show he has something to live on. My guess is he is probably sharing with friends and family but I hope they leave him be and not come around like coyotes looking for whatever they can get.

I think we need to get turtle man to meet up and go with them Bigfoot hunters!!! Talk about live action.

Yeah you got that right. If there was a Bigfoot to catch he would find it and bring it out by the ankle most likely. The guy ain't afraid of a chainsaw and he ain't afraid of no Bigfoot.
