definantly needs to be some changes, but we'll have to work together to accomplish them.

Posted by midmohunter on 02-12-2012 06:06 AM:

I'll tell you what I'm going to do Harry. I'm going to not show up to any state hunts or meetings this year. I'm going to be to busy sitting on my computer complaing about what goes on and who should have done. It's alot easier to find things to complain about when you don't show up at all because you don't know what gets discussed or what gets voted on or what clubs put in for what hunts. You officers of the SCHM are so well paid you shouldn't mind doing all the work for me anyhow. I'm probably not going to be able to make the annual meeting next year either, as I heard that's when the hunt committees are decided on and I would hate to have to voice my opinion in person or for anyone to ask me to volunteer to help out for something.

LOL. Just kidding Harry. I'll be around ready to help like always. Just give me a holler.

Thanks
Bob Helton

P.S. The website looks good too.

Not on a campaign mission Rick. LOL.

The people that are in office will do a fine job. They just need help and support is all I was trying to say. I wasn't even pointing at any certain individual. All I know is everytime someone from the SCHM makes a post instead of telling them that we appreciate what they are trying to do or offering to help with something it turns into complaints and suggestions. Most of which were already discussed at the state meeting in January and are already set in stone for the year. If you want to make a difference you have to be involved.

And Mr. Scarecrow if you don't know me by now it's probably because your not in attendance either, or maybe your someone I choose not to associate myself with. I am at most of the SCHM hunts and I haven't missed a meeting for quite some time. I know everyone can't make them all though. So hope to run into you at the next one. I'll also be at the Crawford County Coonhunters Club in Bourbon, MO on Feb. 25th if you'd like to come by and introduce yourself. What's your name by the way. I wasn't ashamed of letting everyone know who I was.

WHERE ARE ALL THE MAJOR HUNTS FOR SCHM LOCATED THIS YEAR... SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS AT LEAST 4 HOURS NORTH OF ME...JUST LIKE STATE MEETING ...

Posted by ST_CRK_KENNELS on 02-13-2012 02:28 PM:

Bobby you make a very good point, but there are alot of us that went to the meetings, hunts and all the other BS and it never done any good. After a few years of no one wanting to do anything but complain about the ones that are trying or at least want to do something fellers get tired of it and walk away.

Smokin-1-MO you are right

Last year was the first year in a long time that the hunts were spread out enough for all to attend. The majority always seem to be held 2-4 hours from down here from year to year, but if no clubs want them they aint nothing they can do.

Well all I got to say is that job as President is very tough and time consuming. And if a certain person on here thinks they could do a better job than is being done or has been done in the past mabe they should of showed up to the meeting and seen how many votes they could of got!! Just saying!!!

Wormy

I have to say whenever I called him or had a problem he was ALWAYS happy to help and it was taken care of quickly. He has to be right on how time consuming it is, we on this side have no idea until we have done that job.

WORMY WHO IS THAT SOMEONE ???.......RICK I KNOW OF A COUPLE CLUBS THEY DIDNT VISIT OUR ANY OF YOU FOR THAT MATTER AND THAT IS BECAUSE KNOW ONE WANTS TO TRAVEL 4 HRS TO A SMALL HUNT...ONE QUESTION,HOW MANY HUNTED EACH OF THE MAJOR SCHM HUNTS...I HAVE TALKED TO HARRY ON THE PHONE A FEW TIMES ABOUT DIFFERENT IDEALS AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE SCHM DO AS GOOD OUR BETTER THEN THEY DID 15 YEARS AGO OUR SO I THINK THEY HAD ALOT MORE MEMBERS AND CLUBS AND THERE IS A REASON FOR THE DECLINE ... WE NEED TO FIGURE IT OUT AND FIX IT....

SCHM Major Events for 2012:
June 8 & 9 = UKC State Hunt - Cuba, Mo.
June 30 = UKC Youth Hunt - Cole Camp, Mo.
Sept. 28 & 29 = UKC Shriners Hunt - St. Clair, Mo.
Oct 6 = Governors Cup Hunt - Patterson, Mo.
Dec. 1 = Show Me Showdown - Bourbon, Mo.

Great to see all the different people responding.

"Constructive criticism" can be helpful it you don't take it personal.

Keep in mind it doesn't have to be an officer that talks to non-affiliated clubs and tries to persuade them to join the SCHM association. Many of you SCHM members attend clubs that are not affiliated and can speak to them in behalf of SCHM.

Posted by harry harris on 02-15-2012 04:41 AM:

Does anybody have the exact directions or address to the Cuba Fairgrounds where the UKC State Hunt will be held?
IT was held last year in the same place so it should be in the May or June 2011 COONHOUND BLOODLINEs magazine.

Thanks.

This is all I could find Harry. Hope it helps.

HOPE TO SEE YOU BOYS IN CUBA.....

Posted by midmohunter on 02-15-2012 01:48 PM:

Sounds good Chuck. We'll see ya there.

For those on here that couldn't make the annual meeting there is a board meeting held on that saturday afternoon. I'm sure if you were interested in attending that you could ask Harry when it gets closer what time it starts.

Posted by barrelmaker on 02-15-2012 01:53 PM:

The fairgrounds is in hood park, go North out of Cuba on Old 66 about half a mile and it's on the right, accross the railroad tracks.

I'm filling out the invoice/confirmation paperwork for the hunt and my directions need to be precise. They will be the ones posted in the magazine. Thanks for the help.
