No one religion has a stranglehold on how one views Mother Nature.

Here is the trees' response.

By the way, don't give these guys too hard of a time for laughing at the hippies. These people are out there to have attention brought to THEM not the TREES. They want to shock people.
Also the Bible has some things to say in Romans about God not being pleased when people worship the creation rather than the Creator. So I do think that environmentalists, when they are this extreme, can be associated with being anti-Christian.

when i said anti-christian i was referring to folks like peta more than anything. the idea that we humans are of a higher order rubs them the wrong way. a friend once went on an animal rights forum and was told by someone on that forum that the life of a baby squirrel carries the same weight as that of an infant.
amazing
i really think l,lyle is a rocket scincest he can figure a answer out on anything lol

QUOTE FROM ABOVE POST
THAT is where there is room for a whole lot of arguement (to me). Nature sure as heck is a LOT more fascinating, intense, unbelievable, awe inspiring - and true - than ANY words written by an obscure, middle Eastern tribe. Sorry, but GOD is simply too unknowable and amazing to be quoted third person by humans.
I think it is not applicable to equate "anti-Christian" with "extreme" beliefs. That is pretty intolerant and sorta reminds me of how fundamentalist muslims feel about us!
I agree that the comment about these people drawing attention to themselves instead of the destruction of old growth is right on... just as PETA higher-ups use shock instead of reason to try and force their belief system on all. Bottom line: while I live in an area which has lost almost all its granduer (sp?) due to greedy logging practices over the past 50 years, and do what I can to support the preservation of the very, very few acres remaining, I can't support these idiots who are in reality all about themselves and their feelings. If they would get a job and buy some land and preserve it, well, then I would take them seriously. (shrugs)
Anyway, I'm afraid this thread is going to turn into one on religion, so in the name of world peace I will bow out! : )
If you want to help take out the H$U$ go to( Humewatch.org) they have a form for people to fill out and e-mail it to the fedral trades commestion for fraud 503-c 1 income tax report. You know they want to take away our hounds and hunting, and live stock. They want everyone to be VEGANS no meat, milk, eggs or anything that has to do with animals. They even have some of there people in gov. offices!! We must stop them now!!! They have one mean bitch of a lawer in the usda right now!!

lol
with all that screaming they have scared the hell out of the other trees lol
Good golly, I sure hope I dont go down to the bottoms and see a gathering of occupy thickets bunch moaning and carrying on about some trees I have laying down. That might be enough to motivate me to get my old Stehl 64 limbered up, and see how fast a camp meeting can be put on a run. Being that our favorite protester and his camp followers are equating tree hugging as a religion, might just have to go down and lay a big'un down in their honor ! TIMBER !

l.lyle - The old 64 ain't too bad, I have one of 31's that will do it's best to snatch finger nails and break fingers if it's the least bit cold though . The secret to the dang things is get them warm before ever trying to pull the rope, usually set them over furnace vent till about hot, take outside and start and let them idle till I get everything gathered up. Shut down and make dash to the bottoms about 2 miles away, usually starts on first pull. I have been known to put one in the truck and let heater get it warm, little hard with 64 unless I removed a door, as a 32" bar is sort of hard to fit anywhere easy.
Have you a Merry Christmas down your way, and watch out for the huggers, as they might be a bubble or two off, with Christmas trees and all, might drive them plumb over the edge.

You realize that neither of us could do that kind of thing if either of us did not know exactly where the edge is. They don't!!! LMAO.
