Another thing to think about when picking a stud.. How many of you think most studs that get bred a lot are kept hunted up? How many of you think the stud owner would be willing to risk something happening to there dog by turning it loose, especially if theyres bitches lined up down the driveway to breed.... I know theyres a few dogs that are winning and breeding but most wont risk it..

Would you think more of a stud dog or a bloodline if the owner or breeder of the dog was promoting it in the hunts and as a stud or if someone else that doesn't the dog or if it was someone that hunted with the dog was talking it up?
I have looked into a few bloodlines and I certainly will look closer at a stud dog or a certain bloodline if it isn't the owner promoting it and talking about how great it is.
Vote your opinion!

Try This
Plan a hunt with Mr. Hot Stud. When You go there to hunt,go a couple hours early.Tell Mr Breeder since your there you would like to see his dogs.He will gladly show you his stud and females and hopefully some young dogs out of the stud. When he comes to this wonderful young male that you can tell really is his pride and joy ask him to bring him along tonight with his sire so you can see them togather. He may be glad to do it,or he may start in telling all the reasons he can't do that.Just add things up in your own mind ,if theres a reason not to hunt his young dog with that ole sucker do you really want him breeding your bitch.
Hunt with pups off of him. You get what he throws.
