GET CAUGHT WITH A GUN

TELL YA WHAT, GET CAUGHT WITH A GUN IN YOUR TRUCK WHILE YOU ARE RUNNING DOGS IN THE OFF SEASON AND YOU WILL GET A SITATION IN ILL. THEN IT IS UP TO YOU TO FIGHT IT. DNR DOES WHAT THEY WANT AND MOST JUST PAY UP RATHER THAN FIGHT IT. THE ORIGINAL THREAD ON THIS SAID THE WARDEN HEARD THE GUY SAY, I'D SHOOT IT IF I COULD SEE IT, IF THERE WASN'T A GUN SOMEWHERE IN THE EQUATION, ON THEIR PERSON OR IN THEIR TRUCK, THAT WARDEN NEEDS MENTAL HELP AND HAS GONE OVER THE EDGE. THE LAW IS ONE THING, A WARDEN WITH ANAGENDA AND A TICKET BOOK IS TOTALLY ANOTHER. SEEN IT. <v>

Idiots

Oh hear we go again with another idiot getting caught doing something wrong so we gota bash the dnr and all game wardens. You guys doing the bashing sound like a bunch of winney sissies. Why is it anytime someone gets caught it's first, most likely a buddy who isn't telling you they threw the gun in the weeds and second, they are always innocent. So then you gotta post this on a website talking about kicking dirt in their face and how you have no repsect for them. You know, people read this crap and I happen to be a law abiding hunter who thinks our game wardens are out there doing a tough job and have great respect for them. Luckily, your in the minority. Also, save all this political taxpayer crap for the election. Were all taxpayers, so what does that have to do with anything? As for the guy who says he got a ticket for shinning his headlights while pulling into the driveway. Why don't you tell us about the other fields you shinned BEFORE you pulled into your driveway. As Paul Harvey would say, and now you know, the rest of the story.......

Let me try this again from the top because this has gotten way out of hand. Saturday the 29th of october we were running our dogs on some property my sister owns It was me, my boyfriend and a friend of ours. We had two dogs and a pup. Our friend WAS packing a gun because in the state of kentucky it is legal. We had a coon cross the road in front of us so we droped the dogs on it, they ran it to a den tree we shined the tree found the hole grabbed our dogs and went to the truck. Three miles from there the game warden pulls us over and tells us he heard our whole conversation and says if we come clean and admit we were hunting out of season he will write just one ticket instead of three and he wont take our dogs. We asked what the charge was because we hadnt shot anything and he tells us you cant even say it and hunters like us disgust him. He wrote our friend the ticket because he had the gun and because he waas the one that made the comment if he had seen it he would have shot it out. Ive spoken to the state fish and game and they were very very rude! So I called our local fish and game and the lady there was very helpful. she said she didnt think it was legal but because he had already written the ticket we would still have to take it to court.

Was he carrying a concealed firearm? Or was he packing a 22?

Kentucky changed the law this year.

In Kentucky, you can now carry a concealed firearm out of gun season hunting as long as you have the valid concealed carry deadly weapon permit.

Y'all should watch "Wild Justice" on NTGEO, the gamewarden version of "COPS", as it sounds like what you might see on there. If he had you for hunting out of season, you should have seen him at the tree or just after leaving it, not 3 miles down the road. You can have a gun in car any time of year in Kentucky. It sounds like a warden doing a little fishing, saw dogbox turned on lights, said he heard so and so, threw out a few threats and intimidated young folks into taking a ticket, when chances are he was no where around. It would pay you to go talk to the local judge, as once a ticket is written, he is the only one that can do away with it.

The game warden told us we were legal to be packing the .22 rifle in the woods. That isnt the issue he had it was saying he would shoot it. The man he gave a ticket was 54 but your right about being bullied into it. We will be fighting this in court, He infringed on our first admendment rights and Im not going to take it sitting down.

Good report! I went first time tonight because the alligators have finally slowed down. I got 8 coons. I stopped at a country store that has been broken into so many times the guy has put up what looks like an old timey jail cell door. I was there , sticking the coons through the bars and pitching them on in far enough hopefully nobody can gravel them out before morning when the storekeeper gets there. A Deputy pulls up and caught me. He said you been coon hunting ( since I had my dogs in the box and hip boots and headlight on) . I said Yes Sir, I leave the coons to trade for cigarrettes." He said OK and was gone . Took about 15 seconds. The rest of the way home I was wondering if there might be some kind of law against trading coons for cigarretes. I shouldn't have mentioned that on the internet because they will probably make a law about it. After all, What's the difference in a Tax and a Fine? They both produce revenue for Uncle Sam.

I can tote a bush hook to chop my way to a tree . And believe me, Big Foot would rather face me with a pisshole than me with a bush hook.

Sounds like a pretty smart man. So smart in fact that you can't even make your point without getting kicked off here for language. Good luck pushing your shopping cart around you sissie. You must have serious issues if things like this bother you so bad that you have to actually spend time looking up who has the more dangerous job on the internet. Get some help and a life.

Ill get the ticket from the guy it was written to so I can post a picture. I didt post this to stir all this up just wanted ever one to be careful in the woods. I personaly do not shoot them out of season and Ive never seen that gentleman shoot any out of season what he said was out of frustration. Our dogs have been running great but the trees are still thick with leaves and we havent been able to find anything in our trees lately. It is legal to pack a .22 rifle out of season ill find the law and post it for you. We have coyotes awful here I wouldnt go in the woods with out one.

rebel run kenell

not trying to start a war but it sounds like black tan man probly is freinds with a warden he must think like them im 62 yrs old been hunting sense i was a young kid had 1 encounter with them a few yrs back cost me 800 dollars for a lawyer to repsent me to prove i didnt do what he accused me of doing i aint got no use for them they are always trying to get some one on kind of false charges and they will always be low lifes in my book jmo

Posted by jodaviess1 on 11-03-2011 09:39 PM:

HOW IT GOES

IT DOES DEPEND ON THE INDIVIDUAL WARDEN, AND A SMART A$$ HUNTER THAT IS UNCOOPERATIVE IS NATURALLY GONNA GET IT WORSE THAN ONE THAT IS NOT. BUT, THERE ARE LAW ENFORCEMENT OUT THERE THAT HAVE A PERSONAL AGENDA AND IF WITH THE DNR HAVE ALOT MORE POWER THAN THE POLICE, NOT NEEDING A SEARCH WARRANT IS ONE. THEY WILL WRITE BOGUS TICKETS AND IF YOU FIGHT IT AND WIN OH WELL AS FAR AS THEY ARE CONCERNED, BECAUSE IT STILL COSTS YOU MONEY TO FIGHT IT. MOST THAT ARE WRITTEN A TICKET JUST PAY IT. ROAD OF LEAST RESISTANCE IF YOU WILL. I'M NOT BASHIN OR DO I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A WARDEN DOING HIS JOB. I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ONE THAT HAS A PERSONAL AGENDA AND ALWAYS WALKIN AROUND WITH WRITERS CRAMP. <v>

Im sure their are gamewardens out there somewhere who are reasonable people who are doing their best to honestly enforce the game laws so that the outdoors will be preserved for future generations. And if i ever meet one i will show him the respect he deserves, until that day comes and it better hurry up because im gettin old, I will continue to hold them in contempt as the cheatin, sneakin, crooked, power hungry bullies that they have shown me to be.
And for you guys who say they are doing a hard job, explain to me just what is so dam hard about a gamewardens job.

i feel the same way about them as you do i treated this warden that i had a run in with respect till he kept trying to get me to say that i commited the things he said he had proff of and came to my job said proscuter wanted to psoscute me but he just wanted to give me a ticket so i told him if you got all those pics you say let me see them cause i did nothing you say i did if you got that much on me areest me now he left came back next day issued me 2 tickets which was dropped 5 mins before my hearing proscuters parents went to my dads church he talked to the proscuter he said had nothing on me and never talked to the warden so its just shows how dirty they are to try and get people on thier false charges jmo
