-- What boots and light do you suggest? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=442170)
northern boots made in usa 22.00 local agway k light best service i don't hunt in deep swamps so they work fine for me just below knee i do have wick chaps but almost always wear carhartt bibs non ins. warm weather ins.in cold weather like the extra pockets as for k light i have 2 21volt belt light had for several years still works great my wife bought me the new g2 hat light for my birthday one of the brightest lights out there and if the coon is there you will find him the best light in the world can't find whats not there lol good luck and good huntin
my opinion. good pair of rubber knee high boots, chaps over top of them. only problem i ever had with froglegs is you always wear the boots out before the chaps, plus they arent waders if you wade through a swamp or stand in water you are still gonna get wet no matter what. at least this way you still replace boots with the ones you like instead of settling for the few that the chaps are sewn on to. lots of good quality products. as far as lights go i have had great success with K-lights or Bright Eyes, both will stand behind what they manufacture. the "brightest high dollar light" cant see coons that arent there. a mag light will find them coons that are there. brightest=best trap is a selling point in my opinion to get people who are afraid of the dark to spend some bucks, haha. if you got a hound that actually trees coon it wont matter what light you are carrying. anyways i will get off the soapbox, haha. have a good one and enjoy the hunt.
Muck Boot and Valley Creek 21 volt belt.
