Michael

Glad to see someone is having the same trouble as I am having. I had to go on line and get a picture of a coon just to see what one looks like, started to send my papers back to U K C cause it said they were COON dogs thought they had them mixed up. O well guess i will keep them a little longer.H L Meyer

normally, i will hunt straight through the heat times down here, but in the last month, i went to the woods 4 times. Its so hot right now, there is no relief even at night. couple that with stepping on a rattler, and i slowed way down. still going, but only for one, maybe two drops, and then its time for some dry clothes and 5 agallon bucket of water.

This is the worst heat in Texas history, and that is saying a lot . We have had almost 50 days of over 100 degree heat and absolutly NO rain in that time. Today was the 8th day in a row with over 105 degrees. Ground is nothing but cracks, and the small creeks are totally dried up.
I sure was wanting to get some pups started but this is just too dry for them to even think about tracking.
We sure need some relief, but not just Texas. All over the south it has been like this.

If it is worse than it was in the mid 1990's when I was down around Houston and Coffman then I feel for you people! That was horrible.Several people died down there that year. Can't remember the exact year but it was 100 plus for days!
