-- worth of a dog ? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=422676)
I am not saying one dog from any breed couldn't bring a big price cause they can. I am saying that walker dogs swap hands on a regular basis for $4000 and up and that can not be said for the other breeds.

It all boils down to what someone will pay JMHO
I got away from Walkers cause I plain got tired of them. I have 5 trained dogs now and 2 pups in training. But if I did not have a coondog and I was looking to coonhunt I would probably buy a walker. ALL dogs are cheap as they can be right now. I can buy a coon treeing walker any time for $400 . He might not have alot of initials in front and back of his long and fancy name that takes up all the blocks to register him, but they will tree a coon if you can tolerate huntin it.
