I would like to see:

Rocky ( Ask the people who know about it.
He lost a lot of casts because Rev. Moore was a wealthy black man in a predominantly white man's sport. This dog was one of the best hounds ever.)

Boyd's Little Joe ( Competitors went to great lengths just to try and keep this dog from making it to the hunts.)

Tree Spike ( This dog did most of his winning before most dogs are even in the hunts.)

Main St. Roy ( Still going strong and winning a very high % of his casts. And go ahead and tell me how he doesn't have to have + points. Any dog that wins that many casts is treeing a few coons. And like Tree Spike, he is very young.)

Dream cast

1. Boyds Little Joe
2. Nicely's Black Face Red
3. Wilcox's Thunder Bingo
4. Bates Blue Kash

I am lucky enough to have hunted with most of Larry Wilcox's Dogs during the past 20 years, I have hunted with Black Face Red(a world hunt final four dog), and wish I could have hunted with Little Joe and Kash, as they both have blood running through my dogs veins. (all four dogs are in my dogs pedigree)

I don't get into these pissing matches cause there were just too many nice English Dogs that were gooduns.

But one thing I wuill tell you is Va. SwampRooster didn't hold a candle to Michigan Swamp Rooster. Not just on hearsay either.

I recall a few years back in 1999 when Wyatt Wright owned Va Rooster, Michigan Rooster , and Longs Crossroad Dan all at the same time he was advertising all three in the Bloodlines. The pic he advertised Va Rooster showed him on the back of a blue pickup truck with 9 coon layed across the tailgate. The gentleman that took the picture told me that another dog had treed all nine coon the night before and they just posed Va Rooster with them.
Ask Wyatt or anyone else that hunted both dogs they will agree.

All time greatest cast ever alive, dead,or in between.

Boyds Little Joe.

Mad Marge.(won PKC world back around 98. Gayle drew her at English days in 98 and I spectated on the cast. She looked good that night.)

Houdini.

Bashams Sue.( I am a little ashamed to see nobody has mentioned Sue yet.Come on ya'll! She won big at Autumn Oaks 3 years in a row,got hit by a car, layed up a year, then came back and won big again on 3 legs and 1 eye.Talk about True Grit!)

current male cast:
All Grand Dan
Main Street Roy
Briar Creek Rat Poison
Briar Creek Zeb

I could name Jesse Adkins' Thunder dog, the Casper Dog, Wilcoxs' Thunder Blue, and others but I have already hunted with them. It is always nice to hunt with these male dogs and see them first hand. We can all read about them on the computer or in the magazines, but there is one good way to form your own opinion about them.... turn em loose... !!!!

Past male cast:

Briar Creek Bush Hog
Wilcoxs' Thunder J.r
Boyds' Little Joe
Beashers Blue Boy II

Current Female cast:

Timber Valley Ten
Briar Creek Patches
Timber Valley Queen
Thompsons Babe
I have hunted with all of these females many nights and it is my DREAM cast..... I would love to turn any one of these females loose .

Past Female Cast

Northridge Willies Jo Jo
Timber Valley Lucky
Northridge Rock Run Zee Zee
Timber Valley Old Bell

As you can see many of these hounds are on the reproducers list, and to me that is the important part of our sport. If we don't produce champions to carry on... we aren't improving our breed.
The reason I put Timber Valley Old Bell on here with these reproducing females is because I followed her many nights and it would be fun to have John tag along on this cast. lol

Your question on Black Face Red: He is owned by Charles Nicely of Lawrence Michigan.
Red is quick strike, open mouthed track dog, quick, hard tree dog. He is very accurate and a reproducer. (as I said, my dog is out of Red)
Red was in the finals of the world hunt 4 years ago I think.
You won't meet a man more honest than Charles. Give him a call and ask about Red if you might consider him in your breeding program.
Reds breeding goes to Wilcox Thunder Kennels on the top side, and to Nicely's breeding (about 30 years of COONDOGS on the bottom side)

Heard alot about Kellers MIKE. Some said he was the best dog they were ever in the woods with. You hunt with him any? If so what did you think of him?
