-- Best Bluetick you ever hunted with? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=403704)
Jared Lawreson had a dog named Jack and one named Ellie, both SOLID coondogs. Get gone, stay gone, get treed, stay treed, had the meat.

Three come to my mind and I don't know if I could tell you which one was truly better. It would depend on where at in the country you were hunting.
1. Grnt Ch Southern oaks jets blue ghost
( jet V x soiux valley sue )
2. Nt ch Pkc silver ch Blue Thunder
( Jet 6 x soiux valley fly 2 )
3. Grnt ch pkc ch Jet 8
if it was the final cast of the world hunt I would probably go with the thunder dog. He is also the sire of Terry Tucker and ed meads boomer dog. All three of them were as good as any coondog to ever draw a breath.
Grand Nite Champion Cave Run Cody
It has been a few years back but A Dog by the name of Grand Nite Champion Cave Run Cody...owned by Dean Staton and then sold to Larry Danner...who was a well known Walker man that owned Slam it up Lefty...I think the dog placed at the World hunt in like 4 different Registries.....
Here is a few that come to mind.
Gr Nt Ch Missouri Blue Rock which is the sire of Gr Nt CH Leepers
Dark Hollow Ghost.
Nt Ch Missouri Blue Rock II
Gr Nt Ch Ch Bakers Perche Creek Blue Bo
Boo
grnt B{D,S Blue Crook I drew out with him at Pomeroy Ohio, Mike Parrish was handling him. It was pouring the rain down the dogs got out of the pocket. We got the dogs back with forty minutes to hunt. We turned loose and the dogs treed quick and had the coon. We went on and treed six more coon. Crook and my walker dog spliit every time. Seven coon in this country in forty three minutes is pretty fast. Very nice dog. Mike Parrish is a great sportsman. Yes the blue dog beat the walker dog.
Favorite blue dog
This dog is dead now but he was a coon dog when he was alive.Grntch Carolina Blue lead,he was a bad mammajamma I don't know what happen to that bloodline don't even know what happen to the man that owned him I wish I did.

bought a pup off shelton morris out of morris blue river boomer. i got to hunt whith him one time he was all blue and all coon dog. i was around14 and that pup turned out to be a good dog hit by a train at 2 years old
I am a Walker man all the way, but I always claimed that the BLue dog Jerry Wayne Spurlock owned from Danville Indiana name ALL-NITE UNDERTAKER was a Walker dog in blue coat. He wasn't the best blue dog I ever hunted with he was the BEST COON DOG I ever hunted with in my life!!! The Taker could drift high, tree'em low and leave all the hounds sitting below!! When that dog located boys you just might as well circle them or plus them, I never and I mean never saw that dog slick tree!!! He was also a reproducer. An ALL-NITE hound got 4th at the winter classics this past weekend named Go-JOE.
drum
mike parrish had a young male back in the 80s called drum that was fine as they come

I cant remember his whole reg name but it was something something Late night Desperado. Call name was Rowdy. In his prime. He was tough! Ive saw him make it look to easy.I think him and Droop jr had the same mama or something. Seems like his sire might have been Blue lead dog mentioned earlier. Im not sure though. I aint up on these blue dog bloodlines.

Best Blue dog I ever had the pleasure to Hunt with, Handle, and even feed was GrNtCh'Pr' B&D's BLUE CROOK he will always be one of my favorites. I didn't get to enjoy him very long a part of coonhunting left me when he was sold. He was just an all around coon dog with or without company, competition or pleasure.

Night in and night out Davis's White river salin SADIE !! Back years ago (25) I hunted with old Super Glue and boys did he put a show on ! from 10:00pm to sun rise.
several good ones
Harry Tipton's Gr Nite Duke dog(out of a well known Jet IV cross) sure could make a lot of nites and gr nites look bad. I once had it told to me by a man that had a very popular stud dog that if his very life depended on a dog treeing a coon when he unsnapped the leash he would want it to be Duke on the end of that leash. I thought that was about the biggest compliment another stud dog owner could give another mans stud dog.
The Quail Creek Jet dog was also very tough to beat on a good night or a bad night.
Jet Seven also looked great every night I saw him go.
I never hunted with the MO Blue Rock Dog but he was and still is talked about a lot in MO.

The first dog I ever coon hunted with was an Anderson bred Bluetick a friend of mone owned. He was 12 yrs old when I started hunting with him and he was one of those dogs that when he opened on track just start walking he'll have the coon when you get there. He was a good meat dog but wasn't much of a comp dog because of how he hunted. He didn't pass by many coon and if you covered a woodlot you were pretty sure he dug up and treed what was there but he made for some nice nights out in the woods and is one of the reasons I am a coonhunter now.
He was killed by some coyotes that chased him off a tree and ran him across a highway where he was hit by a car
GRNTCH Hendrix Blu Sam aka Psycho Sam..been the best I had seen.

I cant tell ya the dogs registered name, but my grandfather owned a male by the name of "Bank" back about 5 yrs ago. This dog could start a cold track and stick with it till it came treed! I dont care if it went 100 yds or if it went 2 miles, he did not quit! 90% of the time I would be willing to say that the coon was there. When he threw that long bawl and started rappin off the chops you could just about bet you was gonna see a coon. I will try and find more info on his background if grandpa happens to still have his papers.
