Volfan.............go over to sqdog.com and do a search for Silas Damron. He has raised some of the finest red dogs that ever ran a rabbit. He has curs now, but might be able to help you out. Oh and he lives in TN.
Surprised no one from Missouri has mentioned C&Ms Running Rebel. Also agree
Fly and Blitz would have to rate right up there.
How old does blitz pups usually start running? And does anyone know about Gridiron All Out Blitz?I have a pup out of GRCH GRHBCH ROBERTS RUN MORE SUNDOWN GUS AND ROBERTS RUN MORE CASEY He is red just like Blitz.

I have a 4 year old female (RED Dog)Hill Shakers Little Candy Girl She is not one of the top five But, I think she should be in the top 20. Many beaglers do not no of her but the ones that due. they say she hunts and runs like the wind. She is out of J-N-K's Blue boy runner X Gridiron Highbar Mad Hatter. She is a very nice hound and her legacy would be very competitive and fast and loved to run the front. She likes to win. what do you think Ohlinger or who no's of her. Still looking for a good stud dog for her.

Hilljack10, box cleaned out try again sorry
c potato jim ! Candy is a very nice dog!!! I'd be proud of her! I've got one coming for her LOL! as far as stud dog...Coal Miner er butkus!!! It crosses up very well that stuff she is out of!! I bred trouble who is a sister to candy's mom ( i'm 90% sure) to coal and it worked great!! you can't go wrong butkus in that bloodline either!! Put some hard driving control into some already hard driving candy puppies!!

I personally think ace would be a nice cross also. I haven't advertised him for stud but he is available. He has 2 litters on the ground and just bred him to a gyp last week.....he is out of blitz and gridiron fourth and goal gal. I don't think people think of him because I havent advertised him. He has performed well in different formats. He was 2009 reserve world champion, he was hound of the year, he won the first large pack hunt he was entered in and he won the only little pack hunt he's been entered in. He needs a first to ch in performance pack also. Give me a call anytime.

Thank you for thinking Ace would be a good cross. Candy ran against Ace one time and I thought Ace did a wonderful job. Is Ace AKC Reg? I'm thinking Ace might be to tall to breed to Candy. I'm wanting to breed her to a 13" tricolored. Coal Miner has been on my list for long time. Coal has a dominate gene and females that have pups they look like him. Don't take that the wrong way Coal is a nice looking beagle But, I want a vary colorful tri. I like to no more about Coal miners father. Did the father have good hunt and line control? I saw Coal run before and I was very impressed. What do you think guy's would Coal be a good cross? What do you all think of Coals pedigree?

LOL Jim if people were always afraid of the measuring stick Candy would'nt exist for you to run !! I would call matt and kevin about coal miner, and Marc about Ace if i was you, when looking for a stud dog it's always best to do you're homework in the field! Lets try to keep on topic here LOL. Just a piece of mind trouble is a 15inch female that has thrown mostly 13- 13.5inch dogs. I think kevins dog is the only one over the 14 inch mark in the coal and trouble cross..i bred her to my lucky dog who pushes 15 very close and got mostly 13's not a single pup went over 15. Give me a call I can tell you more about the dogs behind candy if you are interested!!! or talk to andy jones or jason prater they were the master minds behind creating her!!

Don McCutcheons red dogs
Chief
I cannot believe Jamey Gorman.s GRHBCH GRCH Cherry Hill Red Chief hasnt been mention, that is and awesome hound, and with the wins to back it.
The best red dog that I have run with gotta be Jason Tharps dog ,Ewalts Rufus. Of all the dogs I run against in the last few years hes is on of them that stands out.The year that he won the runoff that dog was a force for sure.He hunted real real deep..And ran full tilt... is a great all around hound..

It's All About Having Fun & BETTERING THE HUNTING BEAGLE!
Hey potato jim. Rufus stands 14 1/2", hunts on the run and dont miss many rabbits. I feel his control is great for how quick he is, im sure if another dog would wanna bang heads for the front he could get a little rough though. He has a touch of Ali-Baba and Gay Baker in him, but for the most part, is just a country bred rabbit dog!! Click the search icon under my post, go to page 3 and click on Liverpool Beaglers State Race Runoff to see a picture of him. You wont be dissapointed. Thanks

I have to agree with Bill Mills, Jason Tharps dog ,Ewalts Rufus is the best Red dog I've seen around here. I was in that State runoff cast. All I can say is-WOW-what a show those dogs put on that day. We had a blast, Jason is a great guy and Rufus is the REAL DEAL!!!

Red Dogs
Chief is absolutely the best red dog I have ever seen, and anybody who knows me, Knows I'm not saying that because he's my dog. A few years ago at NHba days he was the only dog in the whole hunt that day to bring back plus points, not to mention line points. He had to run by himself in the Grands because after no one Had plus points in the registers (60 to 80 dogs), everyone pulled there Champions and Grands. All but me that is, I'll take that overall winner, thank you Lol. however no red dog list would be complete without mentioning the following dogs Tea Garden Sadie, Circle H Sonny, Ought6 Keeper, Gridiron Cherry, Gorman's Counting Coo, Gary's Lucy, Larry Bevin's Copper. Gorman's Big Brassy, Walhounding Jake. I would have liked to seen Loko Red run, I have been told he was real nice hound as well.
Everyone has there own opinion about certain dogs, but these dogs on my list, well, they don't get any better, and I don't have any political opinions! Just Mine! All the best...
