you have nothing to be sorry for man. A very small minority of people on this board love to go post to post and stir crap up and twist things all out of context. Good luck and good hunting.

What it really boils down to is, expenses! I have 1 dog but a house, car, truck, wife and step son... wife is due to have my first chhild in 3 months. Back when I had myself to deal with... I had 4 dogs and life was devoted to working and taking care of dogs.

Sure I could, and would love to, have 1 or 2 more dogs. I would be stretching it. I don't think my family nor dogs should be over looked. I will provide for the humans first. If I can provide for the dogs second, I will do just that.

Some people either don't think that way or just don't care. Here in Illinois we are allowed an unlimited amount of does we can kill. I have tried paying for tags so others would kill deer for me. Next year I am going to have to break down and start deer hunting... 4 or 5 doe will feed my family and help tremendously with dog feed.

There is nothin wrong with that and you better believe my dogs eat table scraps to. Lol

Diamond

I feed Diamond Natural Chicken and Rice 24.99 for a 40 lb bag at rural king. I have feed Sport Mix, Joy and the regular diamond. But my dogs eat less and only crap once aday on the Natural. I have looked for a good feed for a long time the other feeds i feed was cheaper and the dogs eat it good I was just looking for something a little beter. Go to WWW.DOGFOODADVISOR.COM and you will be amazed by how crappy some of the high dollar feeds are. All of the feeds for around 20 a bag were 2 star feeds Dimond Natural is a 4 star. I have only been on it for 6 mo but dogs look good and Im feeding less.

when they start having the runs tell everyone on here about it, because its going to happen. every dog in my kennel got sick with the runs on it.

Posted by coonhuntercp on 01-09-2011 11:44 PM:

how much of it were you feeding, and they may take some time to get adjusted to the feed, i'm mixing it with my current feed to ease them onto it. It takes half the amount of Extreme athlete to match what it took for sport mix to keep them healthy. If they don't do well on it I will let everyone who cares know. I'm not to worried though

Posted by jamie stall on 01-09-2011 11:49 PM:

they are not going to get the runs on diamond GUARANTEED

the diamond feed that did that to my dogs was in a purple and black bag and it made them sick. i know it wasn't the lamb and rice feed.

Posted by coonhuntercp on 01-10-2011 04:55 AM:

I've heard of some people having trouble with diamond because of some moldy corn or something in the batch. Don't know how long ago it was. Lets hope it is better now. So far so good anyways. Thanks for the heads up though, information is always welcome
