Was your last show on here, I must have missed it. I like your show. The anti's would be and are against hunting no matter how politically correct a hunting show might be. So why bother. They can stick to their gay and lesbian channel.

I think you are doing a pretty good job of showing what you CAN show. Showing the "blood and guts" would be too much for national television.
As far as the shooting or marksmanship, that is pretty obvious! Not staged for television!

I think it would be hard to follow the dogs from turn-loose to tree with a camera.

It's not hard to see that the Walker is the breed of choice of the producers. And to show the poor Blue at his worst, now that was not nice knowing how much of that there is in the walker breed that we have not seen in the shows.

Mostly coon huntin talk and dogs treeing but all in all I think the shows have been pretty nice.

Changing Air Times

Thanks again to everyone, for your support! Just a reminder that next week will be the last week or original episodes. Hopefully there's nothing offensive in that one... LOL! There will even be some beagles and rabbits in this one, Jim.

Starting the following, we will change air times, for a re-run quarter.

Starting the week of December 27th, we move to:
Tue 6:00pm, Wed 8:30am, Thur 11:00pm all EST.

Watch any hunting show on any of the sportsman's channels and there will be plenty of kill shots. All of the big time TV hosts do kill shots. Watch any of the video clips I post on the Internet this time of the year and there will be kill shots. I certainly do not worry about it and I won't let the antis run my life.

You guys need to hook up with David Schneider (Snide on the Cur and Feist board) and do a squirrel hunting show. He and his dog Smokin Bullet are a veteran TV team. They are entertaining! They live in Indiana.

ought to do a show on coyote hunting with dogs. We have alot of fun with it and get 2-3 everytime out. We just hunt one dog at a time so they won't blow them out of the country on us too quick!

I'm sure editing plays a big part in the viewers perception. That's the joys of editing.
I'm confident that the TGA team keeps public perception in mind when in production but also values the perception of the coonhunting and non-coonhunting audience.
I haven't seen hardly any epidsodes of Season 2. But I've watched every episode of Season 1. Showing shooting scenes does nothing for me to add to the excitement, but it doesn't offend me either.
I very seldom pack a firearm when I'm coonhunting so seeing a raccoon in a tree and leaving it is what is the norm for me. But I guess there are others who are the opposite. Doesn't bother me either way.
Keep up the good work!

Doing a great job guys. Don't change a thing. (except for maybe David's sights). LOL

David if you and Joe ever come downt to Missouri can I tag along with ya. I could use a good laugh and you guys always seem to have a good time.

!!

First, I would like to thank everyone for the support, and for the vote of confidence in how we present the sport!

As the editor of the show, I'm responsible for the recent persecution of Dave.... As Dave has said, we will NOT show bullet impact on a coon, nor will we show the "blood and guts" of a dog chewing on a con.

I think that a point has been missed here..... The folks that are complaining are not non-hunters.... Instead, they are our brothers in sport.... They think it is irresponsible to show either Dave or Myself, or anyone else shooting more than one time.... I spend a pretty good chunk of time watching outdoor programming. I recently saw a show where a deer was "spine shot" and the host even discussed that it was not an optimum shot while the deer laid bleating just 20 yards from the bottom of the tree he was setting in. I just watched an archery turkey hunting show where the hunter had to stalk a Tom with one arrow sticking out of it, and put a "finishing" shot on it. I have noticed a trend in many shows to show slow motion "impact" shots replayed multiple times. I also take note of the many shows that state "the shot was a little far back"....

One of our goals of this show is to show the rest of the world how much fun hunting with hounds and tree dogs really is. Part of this fun is the interaction with the folks that you hunt with. As the director/editor of the show, the responsibility for the content of the show falls directly on me. These episodes are so much different than your deer/turkey shows....there is NO recreation done. We have multiple cameras, multiple camera operators so that we don't have to "act" like we are doing anything.....what you see is what we got when it comes to the action portion of our filmed hunts.

We made a decision to delay the filming of the last few episodes of the show until we could show us actually taking game. That decision put us a great risk, as I had about a two day turn around to edit the show and take several hours of video into a 30 minute show, and get them sent to the network.....It was a risk, and a huge time commitment. I'm sorry if we offended anyone with reality....but as Dave has already said....what exactly did you see? You saw a fellow shoot a .22 rifle several times in some cases....what is unknown is if he missed, or wanted to make sure that the game was dispatched in the tree, and not on the ground by the dog(s).

My goal is to put together a show that is "real", in a manner that is not offensive to anyone. What's the phrase...."reality bites"..... Hey, the team isn't getting paid to do this, and both Dave and I have hundreds if not thousands of hours invested of our own time....we owe it to ourselves to have a good time, and do our best to have that enjoyment come through the lens. If I can't give Dave a hard time about needing an ammo sponsor....I quit!
