WELL NOT REALLY IF YOU CAN PROVE ITS A BABBLER MINUS. TAKES A CAST TO STICK TOGETHER FOR WHATS RIGHT.

Why do so many people think an open trailer that strikes quick has to be a babbler?

The real problem is that most of the people that complain that this, that and the other thing is causing them to get beat probably just don't have enough dog power to win so they have to find some kind of excuse as to why they are losing all the time.

Ok so the babbler(which i hate) has 175.The silent track dog can be pitched for 2nd strike and 1st tree for 200 or even pitched for 3rd strike and first tree for for 175 .Thats pretty good for just tagging along on the track. So now who really has more advantage the babbler or the silent dog?We all know how hard it is to prove a dog was pitched on strike so most of the time the guy can get away with it all night.

Barking up the wrong tree fellow. I agree a 100% on the silent dog also because of rule 6(i). I havent got a problem with a silent dog just not my preference to hunt but the rule says noway. I absoultly HATE a babbler. Why not inspire to raise a dog that stikes honest keeps track open all the way and locates and tree's.
From the way I understand it thats what UKC standards require.

P.S. I don't think most silent dogs just tag along. Not when they are getting first tree with da meat. Do the figuring.

That will get you a 3rd or 4th strike on most casts.

LOL you are right but I will stick to striking my honest strike dog when he barks. My dog is a open trailer and barks more than I would like him to on good tracks no matter how far Mr.Ringtail runs. When I say honest he exceeds honest he doesn't bark till the track is strait and he can move it. You are very right though 3rd and 4th strikes are not very uncommon for me. I get a few 1st and 2nd and almost always get first tree. I will take the good with the bad. Where I usauly come out on top is my dog doesn't care what another is doing and some time during a 2 hour hunt he will have one solo. Prob would have lots more if there was no such thing as a tree covering dog. Every one has there on view point of what a coon dog is posed to do and act like. This is the good ole USA and alot of good men died for that right so I respect that. This is just my view. Sometimes reality will set in with some and people can think out side of the box. But with most its that $20 plastic trophy and the yellow win slip your dog don't deserve that matters more than anything else.

That's it in a nutshell !
