-- How smart is your hound at finishing the kill. (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=383190)
my female will grab the neck, pull her front feet up to her chest and snap her body back and forth, its kinds viscous, she's real bad on the hides, but after a bout with coonhound paralysis, she doesnt get anymore live ones, the dead ones she just wools them a little

mine toys with them, if she catches them on the ground. if they are shot out dead, she wont touch it. if it's shot out alive, she does a limping thing (like a killdeer) and when the coon attacks she crunches on their head...
but if she catches them on the ground, i would hate to be that coon! she gets them by the back of their neck, shakes 'um a little, throws them in the air, lets them run away a bit, catches them shakes 'um and so on for a few minutes and then crunches on their head lol

First time we let a coon out and then let the dog out it was like a cartoon. Laya chasing the coon one way. Then woosh, coon chasing Laya the other way. This went on back and forth. Once we stopped laughing our @$$es off we grabbed the dog. From then on if we miss wich we sure try not to, but she goes for the throat.
my ol dogs been up the river and over the mountain and you can tell by lookin at him to. he used to grab em by the ass and won his share of scars, now he grabs em right in the middle and its all over, them old coons dont even get to squall, all you her is a big loud crunch, makes em a little harder to skin with all their ribs shattered though lol.
