Thats what I was thinking because I`ve seen some tough dogs that when the hot juice is put to them they go down howling. I know the trashbreaker on the high setting, there`s no way the dog is barking through it. It will be squealing, like you said it might take a bit but after the collar is on the right place the dog won`t be barking when the button is down. Does the dog squeal when it`s getting the juice?

Barking

I had an English Setter that would do the same. Your dog may have longer hair on the neck. Shave the neck area so that the shock collar can make good contact. Zap the dog when it barks. if set high enough the dog will stop barking. Make sure the collar is tight...you should be able to get two fingers under the collar.
Remember that you have to teach the dog that not barking is what turns off the electricity...so as soon as the dog stops barking release the button.
