This was a big weekend for several mad dog hounds. Jazz, Peggy, and Blueberry all had good weekends. Way to go guys. It is so much fun sharing in it all!

Thanks Tim. You mad dog guys have made it easy for us. All we did was hunt them. I just wish we could have given the dogs more opportunities than we have. Maybe next year we can do more.

By the way: Mad Dog Total Chaos (Kay) treed a release yesterday. That was a first for her. She did a really nice job and stayed hooked. The funny thing is she still won't bark at a caged coon. We learn something new every day. I have never seen a pup that won't bark at a caged coon tree one in style. She is out of Turk and Jude. We should have tried that sooner!

Had a dog once that would walk over and piss on the cage but never would pay it any attention. But he would tree the piss outta one. Trying to catch one to show jethro now. See how he reacts with it

Keep us posted. Dana took Southern Glo tonight. She was not on her game tonight but she did end up with a single. 911 did a good job Sunday night for me. She and Franks Ruby dog ended up in a dentree on a tough night. Balancing football and hunting is tough for me. I really appreciate Dana going above and beyond.

Good luck to Shaun Quinn! He is hunting his Dual Grand Cypress Creeks Black Furnace (black & tan) in the world hunt this weekend. They have really nice black dogs that speak for themselves. We did not attempt to qualify anything this year. It's tough to do everything we want to right now. Shaun has done well in representing blues in the hunts as part of our team. We need more young men like him hunting blues.

Dana and I were fortunate to be elected to two Bboa zone 6 positions for 2011. I was elected to the board and Dana was elected secretary / hunt director. We are going to do our best to serve everyone in our zone and give it our best. If anyone needs anything feel free to call.

Barry is hunting Sage, Jazz and Jethro this weekend at his hunting club. Going to knock some coon down to them. Can not wait to hear how they did.

I took Southern Glo out tonight and we did nothing. No rain so it is really dry and a full moon. Coon just was not moving tonight. Glo hunted hard and deep but nothing. We will try again.

Thats the wAy it was sat night. Hot dry and no rain. Dog couldnt straighten out a old bad track. We are going to give it a go again this weekend though. Be glad when time changes so i can get some weekday hunting in

Went out and checked all my game cameras and found out that the coon are moving between 1:45am and 4:00am. Looks like I will be getting up at 1:00am or not going to sleep until after 4:00am. Oh well thats coon hunting! Dana

We were going to take the dogs out tonight but for some unknown reason we have a varisity football game. I think the A.D. was on drugs when he lined this one up. Had one on the sept. 24th, one tonight 27th, and one friday oct.1 the things we do for our kids. I would do it again in a heart beat! I just love spending time with the family. Dana

took MAD-DOG JETHRO (turk x lulu ) out last night with MAD- DOG JAZZ and CAIN (b&t) we made three trees. JETHRO ran all three tracks with the older two dogs, opened a little on track and was at tree everytime. he didnt tree up on tree but made plenty of racket! not bad for only the third time in the woods. imvery pleased with his progress so far.
