we just got in from saluda! my boy ringo just won best overall male at his first show with competition! i am currently somewhere between cloud 9 and the urge to puke! i was so nervous but we pulled through!

congratulations. now if he's only 6 m, dont get too show happy. let him grow up some. you only have to get points now and it will be easier than you think to finish him. it is tough to hold one out from showing, but give him time to grow and develop and the wins will be sweeter. congrats again....we all knew a hunter turn showman had it in him!!!

a buddy of mine showed his little walker female as a junior and finished her to champion tonight! overall had a great day!

i might put him in one more in the near future but will dont want to burn him out! great thing about the shows is that it gives me something to do while it is so hot out! i had a ball last night and got some great advice from mrs. joy agner! needless to say i have the bug now!

have to be careful with heat and showing too, they can get overheated as well.

overheating

i had a gallon of ice in the dog box and brought some water with me as well. luckily yesterday it rained all the way there and home. the rain quit long enough to get the show in and that was it. that helped a lot with the heat!

i know ringo doesnt care to be indoors. i tried to bring him up on the porch yesterday and i thought i would pull his head off before he got up there! he doesnt like the transition between indoors and out! i think he will be fine once he is in

he has very good conformation.for his age he is standing good don't push to hard and make him bored though then they will get lazy.It would be defintely be worth the time to go to the bench show he is a very good looking dog.

i felt the exact same way! if i hadnt had my whole family with me i probably would have got sick bout time i pulled up to the clubhouse! i have come to learn that there are alot of great people in this sport that are willing to bend over backwards to help newcomers any way they can! you and your dog will do fine! also BEWARE, it is very addictive!

RINGO WINS AGAIN

decided to be very selective on the shows i put him but yesterday my wife wanted to give it a whirl! needless to say she turned some heads! 2 shows and 2 BMOS, both with competion! she had a lot of competion last night! i think there were 2 walkers, 1 Black n Tan, 1 bluetick and 1 redbone! the next planned showing is at the SC HALL OF FAME!

that female is the one Lisa showed at the SBA event this weekend and won BFOS.
