Have heard people mention this hunt before, but never that it was this big....Marked it down in my "Big Book of Dog Shows" :-)...Hope to make it up there for the show, and maybe even hunt....

That’s great, we are hoping that we will have enough entries for the show and hunt to give away the maximum cash prize. We had the entry amount for the hunt last year, but this is the first year the cash prize has been offered for the show.

LAST YEAR results

had 10 out of 12 casts w/ PLUS points = friday
had 9 out of 12 casts w/PLUS points= saturday

3 non-hunting judges was IN THE WOODS for the hunt-off. One judge makes the calls , if handler ? the call , then ALL NON-HUNTING JUDGES will vote. All trees scoring has to be scored by all three also 2 out of 3 votes(non hunting judges) will be the scoring.

Also Stoney Creek (KIM) called and said they will be there.

ALL VENDORS are welcome " NO COST " just a gift/gifts donation to the club to be raffle to the hunters. Boy did we have a lot last year . Hunters you will hunt close. One cast can walk from the club

We had one dog got loose while we were calling the cast out and the dog got treed at the CLUB'S POND .(plus tree to LOL)

Thanks for posting the hotels and the cast info from last year. I checked the Holiday Inn Express website and it said both don't allow pets on the property. But I did find a few more hotels :

I plan on leaving Friday am. I saw where the show starts at 5. I guess I'll stay and show Sat., if not then atleast I'll get to see you Friday! Haven't decided about Baby Girl.....hard one for me. Got some shows in SC in Nov and Dec I would like to take her to.

my pups that got their 1 year rabies there year will be due for their 3 years then - i sure hope you are able to line up a rabies clinic again. that was very helpful to get my pups done there.

& i plan on showing a couple dogs the year - so hopefully the bench show judge won't cancel at the last minute again LOL

Gosh I hope they have a judge! It's an 8 hour ride for me.....I would have to have someone atleast tell me they are CLEAN

We had a cancellation last year , but Michelle Brown stepped up and help us out and all work out good. This year we have a one judge along with a 2nd judge assisting with paper work . So we shouldn't have to sweat it this year. LOL

how much cash for under 25 dogs is that a 2 day total?

If 25-49..............(24 or less gets a CHANCE to get a win on their dog)

TIMES :

Friday: BS 5pm @ $15 / NH 7:30pm @ $20
Saturday: Live Bluegrass Music " HICKORY WINDS" starting
around 9 0r 10 am, Rabies Clinic around 10 am
WR 1pm @ $10
BS 3pm @ $15
next kids bench show ( for fun) , trophies awarded
NH 7:30pm @ $20

Club will be selling a chance on $500 drawn on Sat. approx 7pm
Prizes will be drawn throughout the day Sat (raffle tickets)
donated by the vendors. Had a LOT LAST YEAR......
