Oh also.... did u switch his food?? heard of people changing dog food to higher protien and making them run hotter and the switch is turned off just like that.

dog problem

i agree get him checked by a vet sometimes these high powerd dogs that start at a early age will just blow up and not worth fedding not always but it does happen jmo

He might have medical problem but ether way I would lay him up be it for medical purposes or just mental rehab. What you are doing now isn't working so try something different. People think you can hunt a dog through a problem. Some you can but some you cant.

A T4 test is not a useful test for checking for thyroid problems. A FT4D is, but if you're going that route, then get a panel that includes FT4D, TSH and TgAA. No vet should still be diagnosing thyroid problems using a local lab's T4, it's well known it is not a reliable test for that.

Also, some of the tick borne diseases (TBD) and other conditions and illnesses do have an affect on the thyroid, putting them on thyroid meds will not fix the underlying cause. Typically euthyroid, sick thyroid is not treated with thyroid meds, you find out what is causing it and treat that.

Good luck with this dog. Someone already mentioned a TBD, and they are nasty little buggers that can really ruin a dog.
