fc you are right there were many unethical and selfish disisions made around that raffle and there have been some since if we hold everyone to the same standards ovre the last two years then there would not be many left it is time to heal all those old wounds and move forward we are planning to be there at 8;00am the more hands the quiker the projects get done richard has to work is it fair to him to hold it at noon this is a problem that will never be solved with meetings hope to see everyone sat

Posted by dogfaceNH on 04-14-2010 04:16 PM:

Frank

I think having the meeting prior to noon is feasible even if we have take a break from the work for a bit but I do not see a problem.

I urge both you and tutone to refrain from putting any of the clubs "interests" or club matters on this forum. They should be discussed amongst club members in private and not on a message forum.

See you all saturday, thanks. wd

Yes, rain or shine. wd

Posted by dogfaceNH on 04-17-2010 12:18 AM:

Gonna be wet and cold!!!

I have the cable for the pond, weedwhacker with blade, extension pole with saw and pruners, wheel-barrel, shovel, iron rake, full toolbelt, skillsaw, step ladder, bucket of sheetrock mud and other misc items.

Will need to send someone to HD to pick up plywood and sheetrock tomorrow. (Didn't want it sitting in my truck all day in the rain).

We need indoor cleaning supplies, paper towels, mop, broom, ect...

Any tools members think will be needed to get the water tank & pump installed and running. (Dave & Mark)

Anyone that wants to throw a 4 wheeler with winch or chain in their truck we can probably put it to use.

See you all tomorrow, dress warm! wd

Great Day

Lots of progress was made because of the great group of people (12) that were able to make it today.

A new cable has been strung over the pond for the water race.

Although it's not on site yet...a new starting box has been built for the water race as well.

The brush/trees have been cut back away from the road and the trail for the field trial has been cleared.

Although we were broken into this past week, the clubhouse has been cleaned up and now has running water.

We are not done, but man what a great start.

Thank you to everyone who could make it out on such a miserable day.

Talk to you all soon about our May 14 & 15th event.

Wayne Dimond

Matty G

Matty G...Who are you?

Could you PM me and explain what happened in the "last dozen years" from your point of view.

I am curious because I have been involved there for the last 5 years, I do not know you and would be interested in your perspective.

MATTY G

I think you've been around more than most people .

Thanks for the reply, you'll have to come on over and see us sometime this year. We've got some really great, new, young people involved. They'd love to hear your stories from the old days .

We still need to get out for a hunt sometime soon!

Hope all is well & take care of yourself (tell John I said hi if you talk to him). wd

Posted by nhcooner2 on 04-20-2010 02:10 PM:

Call you tonight.

Thanks Matt, I would be interested in talking to you. A "twinkle in my dad's eye", this is implying that you are over 75. I like the honesty and character of the older houndsmen.

I bring a friend of mine out coon hunting that is 67 years old, he always has the best stories. The first time I brought him, at the end of the night, he couldn't have been more thankful. He said, "watching the dog work brought him back 25 years ago when he coon hunted with his father". Pretty cool stuff.

In fact he took one of the coon and prepared it like his grandmother did when he was a kid. I couldn't stomach the thought of eating it, he wasn't pleased with me.

W.D...Sorry, those coon came from around your place, but it was your old dog that found them...blame him.

Talk to you.

I received a letter today from Mr. Paul Luciano and he enclosed a donation of $75 to the club. I'm not sure who he is but he thinks very highly of Wayne and wishes us the best of luck in continuing on with the club. So thank you Mr. Luciano, and I know the rest of our members thank you as well

Posted by dogfaceNH on 04-20-2010 11:21 PM:

WOW, that is awesome. Paul is an old "bluetick" friend of mine that for whatever reason we seem to have lost touch with each other over the years. I am very honored that Paul would say and do such a thing for our club. If anyone reading this knows how to contact Paul please let me know.

Paul, thank you very much for your much needed and appreciated donation. Wayne Dimond

Frank

If your going to shoot them $1.25 tree rats you might as well eat them, they're not worth much else.

MATTY G or Mr. Grigas as us "old timers" call him can tell you a tale or two. He is one of the nicest, most straight up kinda guys you could ever wish to meet. If he shows up to the club this year I might even buy him a burger .

Posted by Duke Proulx on 04-21-2010 12:48 AM:

I second that WD (a true friend through thick and thin)

Posted by nhcooner2 on 04-21-2010 12:51 PM:

Old timers perspective

You can always rely on a "bluetick guy".

It is pretty cool that people are supporting MSA due to your involvement, these actions speak highly of your character. 5 years ago as a rookie, I had high expectations when entering MSA only to have them fizzle. Keep it up Wayne, your participation is critical in the NH hound world.

Talking to the old timers in my opinion is the best. They were around when men were men, they deserve a lot of respect for what they did for this country. I look forward to speaking with Mr G.

There will be some members at the club around 3:00 this afternoon to finishing up the waterrace project. Will also have some dogs around to try it out. I will be there around 4:00 - 4:30. wd

Posted by dogfaceNH on 04-22-2010 02:10 AM:

Caution!!!

To all you water race people. I witnessed some new high powered swimmers this evening that have never been shown to the general public. Look for them at our first event, it should be very exciting.

Oh by the way...the new cable system works great. Thanks to Doug, Ron, Steve and Eric for all the hard work (and money) that you put into getting it up and running correctly.

MSA is looking good, come'on out and join us this year! wd
