-- Does a cast have right to refuse a drop? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=343713)

If I read the current rulebook right, the cast can 'vote' to not drop there as a safety issue as road/highway IS specifically noted in the rulebook.

If the cast decides to drop there, I don't drop my hound (if it as close to the freeway as OP describes and not just 'background hum!)

Fortunately, most casts I have been on, the guides have always ASKED the cast if they are okay with dropping at a certain location, given certain conditions that they tell us about, such as hunting near a farm with a bunch of loose dogs, hunting with a freeway nearby, whatever might be a safety issue or something that would interfere with the hunt.

One night last July we ended up hunting close to someone having a huge fireworks event. My dog was treed up close to the back of the property when all the banging and flashing started up. The cast asked if we wanted to get out of there and try another place, and I said nah, even if my hound comes off the tree with all the noise, he can just go track a different direction, as it was a nice woods! But I thought it was cool that they asked, as it was hard to hear our hounds in that vicinity!

What rule is that?
